CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
Optical Assembly The Sector Series has twin optical
assemblies with identical beam spreads. Each optical head
consists of two rellector half sections made from extruded
aluminum, Anodized processed to provide specu lar or d itfuse
finishes. Upper and lower halves are secured to a key
channel locking bar and held rigid by the cast aluminum end
plates. Lens is tempered, clear, flat glass with an extruded
one-piece formed EPT gasket for high temperature operation.
Each assembly is secured to the ballast compartment and
oriented to aiming position by a single pivot and locking
screw Lamp servicing is through a gasketed lamp compafi-
ment access door, held securely by screws, on the end plate.
Ballasl Compartment All aluminum construction with
selection of two mounting arrangements; 2" hub. A Iull length
recessed access cover is gasketed for raintight rating and
provides total access to all ballast components. 2" hub model
includes a universal adjustable leveling plate that is utilized
with any pole shape or wall.
lntegral Ballast-Starting rated to -2ooF. Ballast for Mercury
Vapor and Metal Halide lamps are constant wattage auto-
transformer (CWA) type. Ballast for High Pressure Sodium
lamps are constant wattage autotranslormer type using an
electronic starter circuit. All ballast ard high power Jactor.

Mounting-A 2" pipe threaded hub or coupling with a service
entry thru the center is necessary only for the 2" hub model
mounting. The 2 " sliptitter mounted model can be installed
with the normal 2" pipe nipple/pole tenon.
Aiming Adjustment Each optical assembly is secured to
the sides of the ballast compartment with a single pivot
locking screw Pivot locking screw is accessible with ballast
compartment cover removed.
Lampholder Enclosed glazed porcelain socketwith spring-
loaded, nickel-plated center contact and reinforced lamp grip
screw shell. HPS sockets are pulse rated.
Finish-Standard finish is baked on dark bronze on optical
assembly end plates, rnounting, fittings and ballast
compartment assembly. Reflectors are Anodized processed
on both internaland external surfaces.
Lamp Accommodates 25OW and 4oow l\,4etal Halide and
High Pressure Sodium. Other wattages and lamp types
available on request.
