MANUAL COARSE SCREENS FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Manual coarse screens are the simplest screening mechanisms which are used to remove large solid particles from
the system before entering the plant, in all kind of water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.

They have no mechanical components. Therefore, cleaning process is done manually with the help of a hand

Manual coarse screens are commonly used in small wastewater treatment plants. Larger plants which use mechanically cleaned
screens for primary treatment purposes may also prefer to use manual coarse screens in overflow by-pass channels.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
The wastes accumulate on the screen bars. They are manually cleaned by using a hand rake and removed from the
