Goals & Timeline

I have created goals and a timeline for myself as I have multiple research projects at different
stages of data collection, analysis, and writing the findings for dissemination. I hope to adhere to
these goals and timeline, yet also be flexible with the time it takes to complete each of these
stages, as it can be somewhat unpredictable.

Early Stages of Development

As noted in my research agenda, I have several research projects that are in the data
collection phase. In addition, I have two research projects in mind that are still in the early stages
of development. These new projects I hope to start the IRB process and data collection in the
next few years. I would like to do a project where I explore how novice teachers in racially and
socioeconomically diverse schools believe ISU’s School of Teaching and Learning has prepared
them to teach racially and socioeconomically diverse students. I also want to investigate how
successful teachers in racially and socioeconomically diverse classrooms are supporting this
particular group of students and effective. These projects align with my research interests and I
look forward to my future scholarship opportunities.
