Nam: Good morning everyone! How are you today?

Tinh, Trong, Cat: Good mornig sir…..

Nam: Has everyone got a coppy of agend?

Tinh, Trong, Cat: Yes, we had.

Nam: So, let’s start now, we don’t have much time today. As discussed previously, the content of today's
meeting will make an annual report on the performance of the company in the last 6 months. Cat, can
you give us your Sales report?

Cat: Certainly, I will show some results and problems about sales situation in the last 6 months. Firstly, I
will talk about the result. Our company’s revenue reached 12 500000$ - has decreased about 25%
compared to the same period last year. We have launched 3 new models but still failed to attract the
desired number of customers. I think the reason for this decline is the lack of human resources for sales
and advertising is not yet strong.

Nam: Wow. That’s seem not good for our company. Can you give me more detail information about
your department’s problems?

Cat: Of course, I realize that the quality of salesman does not meet the needs of our customers. For
about 1 year, most of the employees who were taken to the sales department were inexperienced, they
only graduated for 1 or 2 year and have not had much contact with the company, business. I suggest
that the Human Resources department should have some changes to improve the quality of staff.

Nam: I understood what you said and I will find the way to solve that problems with HR department
later.

Cat: Next, I have a good news for you that we are negotiating a big deal with ABC company. They need a
large number of our products to provide for their senior staff. If this contract is made possible, we can
double the company’s revenue in this period. I think this is a great opportunity for the company to
overcome our current difficulties and be able to thrive in the future.

Nam: That’s sound great. I hope that you can take that contract. Tinh, please give us your department
report?

Tinh: Indeed, our employees really have problems, first to admit their own fault for not having good
personnel selection. However, I also had a solution to these problems, and detailed the report I sent to
you. I will summarize some of the following key issues:

- Need to fire employees with poor performance, unsatisfactory, review and reprimand some parts to
deter and warn weaknesses in their work.

- There should be a test to assess the ability of each individual, those who do not meet the criteria will
be fired. The average score will be warned, or deducted the salary, ... By the way, our ability test bank is
old and needs to add new things in accordance with the current market. I have also presented it fully in
the report.

- Besides, recruiting additional human resources to replace those who are fired. They will be trained
with those with average scores in the competency assessment.
Those are the main points, you can read the report for more details. My report is gone.

Nam: Hmmmm… Interesting. I think you should focus on training and improving the skills of the
employees with the expertise lessons after work. Besides that, you also need to organize teambuilding
activities more often. Trong, what about your PR report?

Trong: In the first 6 months of 2019, the PR Division spent VND272 billion on advertising campaigns as
well as reaching customers mainly exploiting billboards on big roads and on television. The allocated
advertising cost is 72 billion (26.47%) for billboards and 200 billion (73.53%) for TV advertising. The recall
of advertising was quite positive when, in the survey, about 3 million more people knew about our
business.

Nam: Wow. 3 more million? That’s cool. So, what about your plans for next 6 months?

Trong: I have devised a number of PR strategies to promote the brand broader and increase sales for
businesses. Currently a lot of Vietnamese users use social media channels for entertainment and
information, so I will promote this channel. The first is to work with singers to insert our brand's brand
and new product ads into their music videos. The second is to link with Facebook to run ads in videos
that have a lot of views as well as applications that have many users. However, these activities are only
intended to expand the market share as well as reach potential new customers. And our main customers
are still businessmen, middle-aged people, so to continue to target this group, we will sponsor the
Vietnam national football tournament (V-league). It has both expressed supportive spirit in the football
of the country, while creating a beautiful image of the business in the hearts of fans, most of which is
our target customer group.

Nam: That’s a great idea. You can deploy that plan from now on. I hope that advertising campaign will
increase our revenue soon. All 3 departments are closely linked. So I hope that you all work well
together. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Tinh: I have a proposal, we should rebuild the reward system in our company, this proposal is
synthesized from the comments of employees. Increase bonuses for employees with good performance,
incentive rewards for diligence. Personally, I think that if the reward is increased, the punishment for
ineffective employees must be stricter and tougher. Warning dismissing employees who work stagnantly
and ineffectively.
