QUESTION TAQ (pertanyaan penegas) Berfungsi untuk meminta penegasan dari pendengar tentang sesuatu yang belum begitu meyakinkan pembicara / dapat

dikatakan untuk meminta persetujuan dari pendengar atas pernyataan yang di ucapkan. Aturan yang harus di perhatikan :

1.

Apabila pernyataan (statement ) merupakan kalimat positive (+), maka pertanyaan penegasnya negatif (-). Contoh: you are not sad, are you ?

2.

Apabila pernyataan (statement) merupakan kalimat negatif (-), maka pertanyaan penegasnya positif (+) Contoh: she is a lawyer, isn’t she ?

 

3.

Subyek dari pertanyaan penegasnya (taq) harus selalu bentuk personal pronoun (kata ganti orang/benda).

Contoh: Bagas goes to office by car, doesn’t he?

 

4.

Apabila dalam kalimat pernyataan menggunakan to be (is, am, are, was, were), maka to be tersebut harus di ulang dalam pertanyaan penegas, kecuali to be “am” yang berpasangan dengan subyek I (I am), maka pertanyaan penegas to be harus diganti dengan “are”

Contoh:

you are not a teacher, are you?

5.

Apabila dalam kalimat pernyataan menggunakan kata kerja bantu auxiliary verb (can, may, should, would, will, shall, had, selain to be), maka maka auxilliary verb tersebut harus di ulang dalam pertanyaan penegas.

Contoh : he will invite us, won’t he ?

 

6.

Apabila dalam kalimat pernyataan menggunakan kata kerja (verb), maka pertanyaan penegasnya (taq) harus menggunakan do / does / did. Contoh : Rossie looks pretty, doesn’t she?

7.

Untuk kalimat perintah / ajakan, maka pertanyaan penegasnya (taq) dibentuk dengan menggunakan “will you” dan “shall we”. Contoh : pay attention, will you?

8.

Ada beberapa kalimat positif yang dianggap sebagai kalimat negatif apabila kalimat pernyataan posiitif tersebut di ikuti oleh kata kata : never, seldom, rarely, hardly, few / little, dan pertanyaan penegasnya (taq) positif (+). Contoh : he seldom comes on time, does he?
