This is the weight or volume of the product without the packing. It must be
provided in metric units (kilos and grams or litres, centelitres and mililitres).

Nutritional Information

The nutrition facts label (also known as the nutrition information panel) is a label
required on most packaged food in many countries, showing what nutrients (to limit and
get enough of) are in the food. The nutrition facts label provide detailed information
about a foods nutrient content such as the amount of fat, sugar, sodium and fibre it has.

Claims” are used for two purposes:

To describe the level of a nutrient in the product using terms such as free, high,
and low or.

To compare the level of a nutrient in a food to another food using terms such as
more, reduced, and lite.

A measure of how much ethanol (alcohol) is contained in an alcoholic beverage.

Traceability

It is the ability to track any food through all stages of production, processing and
distribution (including importation and at retail). Traceability should mean that
movements can be traced one step backwards and one step forward at any point in the
supply chain.

ANIMAL PRODUCTS
