1 General

1.1 Information
This ‘How-To-Do’ describes how you can create the integrated web server on the touch panel. This
description is related on Movicon HTML sites, but can also be adjusted for each other web site,
which is integrated on the panel.

1.2 Web Client Concept

• Web Client is a Internet solution for the access on the Movicon server via browser.
• The strategic requirement always to have access to information of the facilities in real time is well
known to all companies, which are producing goods. For that reason Progea has developed the
Movicon Web Client©, an innovative software solution, which is based on the advanced Java Thin-
Client-Technology for the common access to data via the internet or intranet architecture.
• Based on the Movicon® technology and the Movicon Web Client© technology you can visualize and
operate all Movicon stations via a simple browser. Thereby costs for administration, maintenance,
and licenses can be reduced radically and the productivity of your company can be increased
simultaneously.

In this ‘How-To-Do’ the principal procedure is described by means of an example.

2 Creating of a HTML Site in Movicon

Via the Command „HTML-Seite von diesem Prozessbild erstellen“ you can select, with which
process image the web client will start. At that it makes no difference to you, whether it is a project
start image, an existing or a new process image (which only can be called from the web server).

The size of the site shouldn’t be higher than the maximum resolution of the panel (not full screen,
because the resolution is calculated by the panel)

Here you can discontinue the adjustment of the IIS (Webserver „Internet Information Server“),
because the web server has to be configured on the panel.

3 Configuration of the Web Server

3.1 Calling the Configuration Site

For the configuration you can use your browser. There must exist an Ethernet connection to the
panel. Fill in the following address http://IPAdressePanel/WebAdmin into the address line. Now
you should see a registration window.
Please subscribe with the standard username „wince“ and the password „vipatp“.

3.2 Configuration of the Web Server

Now you can modify the „Default Document“ by opening the default web site via the button „Modify“.
Fill in the name of the created HTML site (which is again stored in “RESOURCES”.
After successful modification push the button „Update“, which is at the end of the site.

Now please treat with the Virtual Directory by opening the link „Configure the virtual directories
on this Website”. Here you can create your own Virtual Directory or change the Root Directory. For
it open the Virtual Path “/” via the button “Modify”.
Here you can change the URL respectively the path to the folder, where your HTML site is located,
in the input window “Physical Directory or Redirection URL”. In this example the path is
“\Flashdisk\test\RESOURCES\TEST\“.

Please push the „Update“ button at the end of the site after successful modification.

3.3 Restart of the Web Server

Please push the „Update“ button at the end of the site after successful modification. Now you can
see a message directly under the system menu, that the web server must be restarted for
acceptance of all changes. For it use the menu item „Restart Web Server“ in the menu.

4 Calling the Web Site

4.1 Calling the Browser

When you have checked again all settings of the web server and restarted it, you can open the web
client site via filling in the IP address of the panel.
Now must start the „Java Plug-In“ in the browser. If it doesn’t start, check the browser plug-in for
the correct installation and the web server for correct settings.
