Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus Undatus) Peelings And

Sunflower (Helianthus annuis) Seed Oil

I. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

There is a lack of knowledge when it comes to the epidemiology of
fungal infections worldwide because there are no reparing
doligations. An estimated 1,510,391 persons develop a skin or nail
fungal infection each year. ( batac and denning 2017).

Fungal disease surveillance has not been odore, and its burden has
never been estimated. The Philippines is a tropical country in
southeast Asia where infectious diseases remain the causes of
morbility, including tuberculosis. In 2016, a total of 1,852,137 severe
fungal imfectious are estimated to have occurred in the Philippines (
Vanlepulte, Fenari, Coste 2018).

For several decades, fungal diagnostic procedures in the Philippines

were not routinely done and were limited to the isolation, culture,
and identification of fungi involved in skin, hair, and nail infections.
Most of the epidemiological studies in the Philippines on my cases
are Award in superficial fungal infectious. (Buil, Zoll, Verweii,Meldes,
Bengmans, 2017)

II. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The significance of the study is to make an organic and an effective
way of preventing fungal infection.
To have an alternative cure for this kind of infection.
To have a materials that is easily be found if emergency needed.
III. SCOPE OF DELIMITATION
We used petri dishes to contain the candida yeast infection. We
sprayed the mixture of dragon fruit peelings and sunflower seed oil
to the fungi. In 30 C the mixture of dragon fruit peelings and
sunflower seed oil with the fungi it took 1week to control the number
of fungi.

IV. RESEARCH PROBLEM

The decreasing of spreading fungi infection in the environment that
can affect every human’s functional organ.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of this research are:
To find an alternative way to cure fungi (candida infection) that is
easily available for all.
To test the feasibility of dragon fruit peelings and sunflower seed oil
as an antifungal.
Control fungi infection and make an accessible antifungal.

V. HYPOTHESIS
Ha: the mixture of dragon fruit peelings and sunflower seed oil is an
eloquent control propaganda of candida infection
Ho: the mixture of dragon fruit peelings and sunflower seed oil is not
an eloquent control propaganda of candida infection

VI. CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

The Philippines is a low middle-income, tropical country in southeast
asia. Infectious diseases remain the main causesof morbidity,
including tuberculosis. AIDS/HIV prevalence is still low at 1%, but is
rapidly increasing. Fungal disease surveillance has not been done ,
and its burden has never been estimated.
