Q.27 –Find value of K for which the quadratic equation (3K +1) x2 + 2(K +1)x +1 =0 has equal roots. Also find the
roots.

Q.31 –For what value of K are the points (K, 2 –2k) , (-K+1 , 2k ) and ( -4 –k, 6 –2k are collinear.

Q.39 –An aeroplane takes 1 hour less for a journey of 1200 Km if its speed is increased by 100Km/hr from its usual
speed. Find its usual speed.

Q.40 –Point P divides the line segment joining the points A (2, 1) and B (5, -8) such that AP: AB = 1: 3 If P lies on
the line 2x – y + K =0 Find K.
