1. Objective
For Smooth Operation of Shoot Blowing system.
2. Scope
This SOP is applicable for all type of Soot Blower.
3. Introduction
Soot Blowers are used to remove the soot deposited in tubes of Boiler
and also used to remove soot from APH by using steam as a blowing
medium. Soot blowing cycle should be determined based on the
accumulated ash of the heating surface; the coal fired boiler generally
soot blowing done once in a shift. If the soot blowing time interval is
too long, it can impact on the soot blowing effects, reduce the boiler
efficiency
5. Responsibility:
Unit Control Engineer, Field Engineer and Desk engineer
6. Safety Precautions:
Ensure No Permit To Work Is Pending On Regarding This
System By Checking With EE/MRSE.
7. SAFTEY PPE’s:
Ear Plugs, Safety Goggles, Hand Gloves, Etc.
