Description of Business
Brown's Bakery is a Partnership team of innovative energized young entrepreneurs from
Little London High School collaborating with the Small Business Association specializing in
the production of cupcakes and cookies. With limited culinary and baking skills at inception,
our products were limited to cupcakes and brownies. Training in food preparation and baking,
enabled the expansion of our selection to include sugar cookies, cakes and our signature
Brown`s rock cakes.
Mission Statement
Our long-term goal is to continue to upgrade both our technical and strategic skills to support
continuous growth of expansion and diversification. Above all, we are dedicated to creating a
dynamic environment so compelling, that our customers, suppliers and co-workers will want
to participate in achieving mutual success.
Business Objectives
To provide high quality products that will satisfy the taste buds of our valued customers.
To gain and hold the respect and loyalty of customers while achieving sufficient profit to
finance our partnership and its growth.
To create a healthy working atmosphere where every employee is provided the opportunity to
develop to their maximum potential.

Justification of Location
Brown’s Bakery is located at the Little London High School where we were first established.
Our target market is Little London high students, as well as teachers and students who attend
lessons making our main customers within the school.
The school facilitated us by giving us permission to operate from the Home Economics Room
which also provides baking equipment.
The school is quiet and peaceful on weekends and after school. Allowing us to work
efficiently.

Sources of Fixed and Working Capital
Fixed Capital
Assets or capital investments that are needed to start up and conduct business, even at a
minimal stage. These assets are considered fixed in that they are not used up in the actual
production of a good or service, but have a reusable value.
We were offered a grant from the Small Business Association (SBA). Also all the employees
contributed $100 each which was used as our starting capital. The capital was used for the
purchasing of ingredients to help us start off our production. Also we had loan from the SBA
this was also used to purchase ingredients.
Working Capital
Our sources of working capital would be cash left back from day to day operations and a sum
of $200 dollars by the business individuals and also the grant from the SBA of any sum of
money we need to get us on our feet. This capital would be used to buy bags for our products,
ingredients, paper to print our flyers and lastly to buy our own custom design T-shirts.
