1. PURPOSE :

1.1. To provide care for people with special needs or disabilities.

2. DEFINITION :

2.1. People who are in need of special care are those with covering
impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. An
impairment is a problem in body function or structure; an activity
limitation is a difficulty encountered by an individual in executing a
task or action; while a participation restriction is a problem
experienced by an individual in involvement in life situations.

3. APPLIED TO :

3.1. ER Doctors;

3.2. ER Nurses.

4. POLICY :

4.1. Patients with disabilities must be asked first before giving any
treatment care and how you may best assist them.

5. PROCEDURE :

5.1. The Hospital will receive the Patient in ER, will be placed on wheel chair
when needed;

5.2. ER Nurse will do proper assessment;

5.3. ER Physician will assess the Patient;

5.4. If the Patient do not have companion and can not decide for himself,
ER Physician must wait for the first responder to arrive unless it is a
serious condition that may lead to organ damage or loss and death;

5.5. ER Physician will decide the management plan as needed according to

the case of the Patient.
