1. What was interesting to see or hear?

The most interesting part for me about this visit was the fact that in OpenRemote the employees do
not have specific tasks assigned, they just form teams of the employees and they work as a whole on
specific projects, everybody working on what he’s best at.

2. What inspired you?

The fact that the company works with the government and is developing applications that are meant
to ease the life in the city of Eindhoven along with improving the contact between the government and
the citizens through the Eindhoven mobile app.

3. What surprised you?

Most surprising was the assignment that we had, during which we had to come with an idea of how
we could improve the life in the city of Eindhoven. The surprising fact was that the company is paying
attention to the ideas of the newcomers of the industry.

4. Based on what you’ve experienced now, what qualities should an ICT engineer in that area have?
I am convinced that besides the ICT knowledge a professional should also posses decent
communication and presenting skills so he could be more productive since ICT is all about teamwork.

5. Imagine you are working in the company you have visited. Describe your average workday.
I believe the workday would be really stress less, since you are not under the pressure of tasks and
deadlines. It would include a lot of communication with the team, planning, brainstorming etc.

the idea of how the workflow of an ICT specialist looks like.
