INFORMATION

Note:

The work in this section comprises:

PRECAST REINFORCED CONCRETE PILES

All piling work shall commence from formation

level

Prices for piles shall include for casting them

either on or off site and all necessary formwork
including forming necessary recess etc.
reinforcement, lifting toggles, pile shoes or
extension base plate and extension cap plates all as
described

Prices for handling, transporting, pitching and

driving of piles shall be deemed to include the
provision of all necessary piling equipment and
other plants on site and dismantling and removing
the same on completion of piling works

Prices for driving shall include moving off piling

frames about the site, raising or lowering them and
re-driving of piles

Price for testing of piles shall be deemed to

include the provision of all pile testing equipment
on site and dismantling and removing the same on
completion of piling works

Pay length

The Contractor shall take note that

notwithstanding to term of Condition of Contract,
the quantities of piling works in this bill are
"PROVISIONAL" and subject to re-measurement. The
payment shall be based on quantity of piles
driven and valued in accordance to note
hereunder

For supply, deliver, handle, unload, transport, pitch

shall be measured for the full approved delivered
length

For driving it shall be measured from the toe of the

piles when driven to the existing ground level

The rate for every items of piling works shall

include working in whatever platform levels
irrespective of either at ground or formation or
reduce level

PILING PLANT AND EQUIPMENT

Bringing to site and removing from site

A Allow for the mobilisation of necessary piling

equipment, plant, tools and ancillary and for their
transportation to the site, handling, assembling,
erecting, dismantling, moving about the site as
often and whenever necessary for the whole
operation including all idle standing time and
demobilisation upon completion. This item shall
also include any excavation, filling earth to make up
levels and staging required for moving of plant from
differing levels on site. ITEM

B Allow for the provision of transporting to the site,

handling, assembling, erecting, dismantling and
removal of site on completion of the works all
necessary piling equipment, plant, tools and
ancillary equipment and for the proper execution
of piling works; The contractor shall used
'JACKED-IN / INJECTION' for this project. ITEM

Maintaining on site

C Allow for moving, handling and maintaining piling

equipment, plants, tools and ancillary equipment
about the site as often and whenever necessary
for the execution of the whole piling operation
including any excavation and filling required for
moving the plant, tools and ancillary equipment
from differing levels of the site erection of any
staging required, installing piles on embankments
or slopes and dismantling and removal on
