knowledge of how to access engineering problems and then develop and implement suitable

WORK EXPERIENCE
August 2019- To present Associated Motors Limited
Intern Service advisory officer.
Dutes;
Greet customers when they arrive at the parts and service center and direct them to an
available mechanic
Consult with mechanics about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive
work
Provide customers with in-depth information about available aftermarket and OEM
(original equipment manufacturer) part options
Answer questions about service outcome (after consulting with mechanic if necessary)
Manage and oversee the service center’s workflow and scheduling
Call customers to inform them of changes in service or to let them know their vehicle is
ready for pick-up

January 2019 –To Present Wartsila East Africa Ltd (Kipevu III power plant)
Casual worker at Mechanical and operation department doing following daily activities at
wartsila 46 V18 engine;
Trouble shooting the engine and other equipment in the event of failure.
Participated in 500,1000,2000,4000 running hours preventive maintenance
schedule for the w46 engines.
Daily taking running hours for w46 engines, HFO separators, lube oil
separators, starting air compressor and instrument air compressor.
Exhaust gas boiler washing.
Inspecting and greasing the diesel driven firefighting pump and other pumps.
Removal of defect cylinder head from the engine and carry out the inspection
then rectifying.
Hydro testing of cylinder head to determine any leakage using water and
cylinder head hydro testing tools.
Dismantling of injection pump and inspecting it, replacing the worn out parts
and o rings and assemble it ready for use.
Testing opening pressure for injectors, dismantling and cleaning it replacing old
part then calibrating its opening pressure.
Reconditioning of charge air cooler and hydro testing it.
Take fuel tank levels, lube oil and sludge then logging them to the company log
sheet.
Start air and instrumental compressors servicing.
Operating the oily water treatment unit for removal of sludge from oily water.
Plant operator i.e. preparing the engine to start and stand by.
Boiler operation and serving .
Isolation of auxiliary equipment’s during engine maintenance.
Carry out maintenance of auxiliary equipment.
