Work you will do

You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects that help organizations manage and mitigate risk, improve
operational performance, and maximize enterprise value. In this role, you will build on your foundation to design,
implement, and support risk management; provide advisory services; and assist in restructuring programs, processes,
and frameworks to address the growing challenges and risks our clients face. You would have an opportunity to gain
experience in:

• Providing extensive range of accounting and reporting services in addition to enhancing the overall value that
financial services deliver to the business

• Executing data management and analytics engagements to help clients monitor, mitigate, and sustain financial
reporting risks

• Providing strategic advisory services and advice to help corporate, entrepreneurial, and private equity clients
create and act upon opportunities for liquidity, growth, and long-term advantage
• Providing valuation services for various classes of liabilities and assets, including intangible asset; real and
personal property; and various complex securities, including fixed-income securities, equities, derivatives, etc.,
using different valuation techniques models in accordance with US GAAP. Also, providing construction advisory,
cost segregation advisory, real estate financial advisory, lease advisory services, as well as business modeling
services

• Providing process efficiency, fraud detection, operational quality, internal control, and regulatory compliance
services and helping clients improve their performance and operating efficiency to bring greater value to their
organizations

• Help clients respond to specific breakdowns in their regulatory compliance programs and assist clients design,
assess, or transform the process, controls, and infrastructure needed to address the wide variety of specific
regulations (Basel II and Basel III, Dodd-Frank Act, Investment Advisers Act, Volcker, FBEPS, EPS, CCAR, BCBS
239, etc.) and regulatory risks

• Applying an understanding of Tier 1 Digital Core technologies (e.g., SAP and/or Oracle) to help clients solve
business issues in an efficient and effective manner

• Facilitating the use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products
and services

• Assisting in delivering technology transformations services to clients including design of accounting data models
and rules engines, finance IT strategy, bank connectivity strategies, vendor selections, organizational and
process improvements, and finance systems implementations

• Assist in the design and development of financial market infrastructure, banking and securities operations
transformation, and rules and workflow engines to provide higher quality and more efficient/effective financial
information

• Understand and facilitate the use of, and at times, implement software/programs that support the
implementation of core Banking & Securities domain like Investment Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, etc. as
well as automation-based tools or methodologies to complement the solutions

The Team
Deloitte Advisory’s Accounting and Finance team is composed of professionals holding Masters in Business
Administration (specialization finance), chartered financial analysts (CFA) certification, financial risk management
(FRM) certification, chartered accountants (CA) certification, certified public accountancy (CPA) certification, etc.,
focused on helping the client with Finance and Accounting functions. Our team members work collaboratively and
apply their specialized knowledge and experience to help clients navigate through complex issues.

Qualifications

Required
• MBA (specialization—Finance)
• Work Experience eligibility – 0-36 months

Preferred
• Professional certification, such as CFA, FRM, CPA, CA

• Soft skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), positive attitude,
and willingness to go the extra mile

• Analytical skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking/problem-solving skills. Business mindset to understand the
rationale behind the transactions and ability and willingness to dive deeper into industry issues and bring greater
insights for our clients

• Functional skills: Knowledge of accounting standards and financial management concepts, strong computer
knowledge, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Technical skills: Visual Basic, MATLAB, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ. Proficiency in Primavera and MS Project
would be an added advantage
