V. RECOMMENDATIONS

A. Potential of the Company as a Training Ground

The company have the appropriate facilities and equipment for the work to be accomplished.

Company Personnel Cooperation

The personnel are cooperative and welcoming towards the trainees.

B. Duration of Training

The 240 hours duration of training is enough for the trainees to learn and enhance their skills in the field and to
learn and observe how the working environment of a firm works.

C. Suggestions for the Improvement of the Training Program

During our on-the-job training we mainly work in the office and I hope we were given a chance to work or
observe the work on the site. For suggestions, having on site work will also help on-the-job trainees to have
knowledge on what or how the things work in the site.

D. Advise to Future On-the-Job Trainees

For the future on-the-job trainees, I advise you to learn and enjoy the working environment where you will need
to practice the knowledge and skills you have. OJT will also help you enhance the knowledge and skills you have
so don’t limit yourself when it comes to learning new things and skills that will also benefit you.

ON-THE-JOB TRAINEE SUCCESS STORY AND TESTIMONIAL

As an architecture student and a soon to be professional of the field, being given this opportunity to work with
Filipinas Dravo Corporation was a great experience. The entire duration of my training helped me to develop and
enhance certain skills and allowed me to know and observed how the set up of a firm works, how working with
these professionals opened my eyes on the reality of the profession I have chosen.

In my training, I was assigned to a project such as a beach front hotel, memorial park, and a duplex house. These
projects helped me to develop my way of forming and developing my conceptual designs. The architect in the
company trusted me with the projects and it made me want to do my best and not disappoint them. The company
composes of people with different expertise and they are hard working, competent and an inspiration on the field
that they are good at.

It is a scary, challenging and memorable professional experience for a student like me. Having this opportunity is
a good preparation for when I will also be a professional working for the field of Architecture.
