Latin name of genus and species: Cannabis sativa L.
riety denomination: “CW28.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Cannabis is geaus of fowering plants that includes at
least three species. Cannabis sativa, Camabis indica, and
Cannabis ruderais as determined by plant phenotypes and
secondary metabolite profiles. In practice however, Catma-
bis nomenclature is often used incomeetly or interchange-
ably.
Hemp, also known as industrial hemp, is a type of
Garmabis plant grown speitically forthe industrial uses of
its derived products. Hemp by definition has no more than
three-teaths of ent (ie, 03%) concentration of
tetrahydrocannabinol. (THC). THC. causes psychoactive
effects when consumed and is typically associated with
marijuana (.., Cannabis with higher THC contents). Hemp
fexinicis prodiced fom industrial hemp, such as extmets
produced from *CW2A", have no such psychoactive effets“?
‘due to thei low THC content, Values of total CBD and total
THC obisined from laboratory testing of dried mature
Jemale flowers may show variance that results fom dilering
_growing environments, sampling methodologies, and testing.

ther minor but valuable hemp compounds that work syn-
femistcally to heighten effcets of products prodiced from
“CW2A’. This synergistic elfct is sometimes referred 10 as
the “entourage effet”. “CW2A" extracts can be used 10
produce a variety of products, ineInding liquid and capsule
forms for oral administration, topical products, cosmet
products, infused beverages, sport products and hemp-in-
Tased pet treats
Despite Cannabis being consumed since at least te tind
nillennium BC, complete scientific corroboration for uses
‘of CBD are stil in ther infancy. Industry reports suggest
CBD is used for a variety of heath and wellness purposes,
including as a sleep aid, coping with daily sires, fighting
anxiety relieving pain, assisting with cognitive function and
boosting immune health. Signifeant research is curently
being conducted at a variety of laboratories on the use of
CBD asit relates to epilepsy, Post-Traumatie Stress Disorder
(PTSD), cancer, autism, neuroprotection, antiinflammatory
effets, antismmor effects and antiepsyehotie effects,
“CW2A’ is a selection resulting from controlled
with continued maturation, finally displaying a desiveated
‘appearance and amber color. In the present disclosure,
harvest maturity is defined as the time period between the
‘enlarged clear” tichome developmental stage and the
‘opagucimilky trichome developmental stage. Amber
trichomes in the *CW2A’ plant are an indication of overly
‘ature trichomes, In some embodiments, the harvest mat-
rity of the "CW24’ variety is typically around 15 and
weeks afer planting vegetative cuttings inthe field. Grom=
jing conditions throughout the plan's life eyele, nutrient
variations, and environmental factors ean all influence the
amount of time for ‘CW2A' plans to each haevest maturity
‘The present disclosure uses the terms “maturity.” “harvest
maturity.” and “Moral maturity” interchangeably. FIGS.

In some instances, the botanical descriptions disclosed
herein reflect the range of phenotypical variation observed
under indoor and outdoor growth conditions. Total Potential
‘THCICBD contents presented in this document reflect the
‘otal potential (ie. decarboxylated) THC and CBD content
after decarboxylation ofthe THCA and CBDA eontents of
the sample, The fomia used for his calculation is repro-
