Scope & purpose:

To have a handy procedure for cleaning glassware.
PPE: Gloves(Plastic)
Precaution: After decontamination used media to be transfered to designated wastage bag.
Procedure:

Petridish: Transfer decontaminated media to designated wastage bag.

Rinse with normal clean water

Detergent wash.

Rinse with normal clean water.

Rinse with distilled water (3times)

Drying

Media bottle Drain off decontaminated media.

& test tube :
Rinse with normal clean water

Detergent wash.

Rinse with normal clean water.

Rinse with distilled water (3times)

Drying

Pipettes: Drain off disinfactant(chlorine solution)

Rinse with normal clean water

Detergent wash.

Rinse with normal clean water.

Rinse with distilled water (3times)

Scope & purpose:

To disinfection of floor.

Hazardous nature :
Corrosive and irritant

PPE:
Apron, Goggles, Disposable mask & disposable gloves.

Precaution:
Wash the affected area with plenty of clean water.

Material and chemicals:

1. "Clotech"(5.25% sodium hypochlorite) solution.
2.Volumetric flask
3. Measuring cylinder

Procedure:
1. Take 900 ml of water in a 1000 ml of volumetric flask.
2. Add 100 ml of sodium hypochlorite solution (5.25%) in to the water containing flask with the help of
measuring cylinder.
3. Mix well throughly gently shaking.
4. Transfer recured volume of solution on to final container
5.Close the opening of the container after use.
