AC400-50kWDummy Load
1 Foreword
This solution introduces AC400-50kW Dummy Load and its accessories, including
their function, performance, usage, providing users with a high efficient and reliable
choice to test generator.
Load bank system consists of measure, control and load bank. Mainly includes Load
Bank, data acquisition system, automatic Load/unload control system, cooling device,
etc. It can realize online intelligent adjusting load to maintain generator sets output
power no less than 20kW (40% of DG set output power), this will avoid wet-stack. It
doesn’t need human intervention.
All the pictures quoted are for reference only.
2 Testing System
We do not supply DG set power cable and switchgear(switch cabinet) if not specified.
See above picture, T means current and voltage transformer. Please inform
me if there are 3 phase current and voltage transformer and switchgear on site.
If no voltage and current transformer, we will send you for installation.

4 Functions
1) Working principle and pattern: There is a switch in control panel, if switch to
manual, the load bank will can be manually operated, will not automatically load
and unload.
2) Switch to Intelligent, dynamic adjustment principle, when real load is no more than
50% output power of DG set, load bank will automatically add load to make sure
real load power + load bank power =20kW (40% of DG set), and remove all load
power when real load power no less than 20kW.
3) 3 line LED multi-function meter can display real-time voltage and current of three
phase and each phase, resistive power, power factor, apparent power, frequency
and running time of generating set.
4) User can pre-set the power then press the master load button.
5) Control mode: Automatically load/unload.

6) Through RS485 connect PC and load bank, the real-time data can be transferred
to PC, use data management software, data can be formed into curves, exported
to EXCEL or JPG file.

5 Protection
1) Has emergency stop button.
2) In case of over-load, over-heat, short circuit, load bank will automatically remove
load and give alarm.
3) Fan protection: Load bank could not load before power of fan is on.
4) Give alarm when any fan is abnormal or with insufficient air volume, etc.

Resistor
Alloy resistor material Aluminum-niobium-cobalt (Co21Al6NB), anti-temperature (max
working temperature reach up to 1500°C), steady electrical performance, low
temperature drift (5*10-5/°C), this technology is the most advanced in alloy resistor
manufacturing.
When each resistor withstand voltage is DC3000V or 1500V, 50Hz, 1 minute without
puncture. Real voltage is 1/3 of withstand voltage; make sure the resistor in good
working condition without puncture.

7 After-sale Service
(1). Warranty period is one year.
(2). If required, technicians will be sent to help customer install, debug or repair the
machine by the user’s cost.
