Control. So opportunities are practically huge. Being chemical engineer opens you to go to any
of the sectors. Chemical engineers are required both in Govt and Private sectors. Their job
profile ranges from Production engineer, Design Engineer, etc.
To provide a concrete foundation in basic principles and engineering practices in the domain of
Chemicals.
Allowing specialized knowledge in applied chemistry, biochemical and biomedical engineering,
environmental engineering and process control.
To provide adequate exposure of chemical process simulation tools and software.
To discuss and teach principles that would allow to design, optimize and control the chemical

Casual Studentship
They can boast amongst the highest concentration, among the academic institutions in India, of
faculty members working in the area of fuel cells. The institute has excellent research infrastructure
and has sophisticated analytical and characterization instruments available at both Institute level and
at department level. Research on SOFC is very actively pursued. Current projects taken up on
SOFC include high conductivity and aging resistant electrolyte development for low temeprature
SOFC, alternative and new electrolyte materials, new anode materials for dircet hydrocarbon SOFC,
coating technologies for SOFCs and development of SOFC test bed and test protocols. Fuel Cell
Lab., Dept of Chemical Eng., IIT Delhi is engaged in different fuel cell development program
programmes sponsored by government and non profits.
