ASSIGNMENT-1

Quality of Information and its impact on Decision Making

The “information” that we have selected here is a motivational video by ‘Simon Sinek’.

CHANGE YOUR FUTURE: Life Changing Motivational Speech

A. Part I

1) Description:

Simon Sinek has given 5 rules to follow through our journey in life as we strive to better ourselves:

1. Go after the things that you want: As long as you don’t get in the way of others, make sure you do
everything you can to get what you are after. Do it your way.
2. Take credit for the things that go right and also hold yourself accountable for wrongs: Sometimes you
are the problem. You have to take credit for the things that go right as well as the things that go wrong.
3. Accept help when you need it, and give aid when asked: Take care of each other. You cannot do
everything alone, and you must learn to look after those around you. Help others and ask for it when you
know that you can’t do it alone. The amazing thing is when you learn to ask for help, you’ll discover that there
are people all around you who’ve always wanted to help you
4. Practice the skill of being the last to speak: Do this and you will encourage others in their ideas by listening
to their input without swaying decisions and also be able to formulate better plans as a leader.
5. You only deserve a Styrofoam cup, everything else is for the position you hold: Be grateful for the perks
that leadership and success brings. Enjoy the moments it brings, but remember where you came from and
that those perks come with the roles given, not for you as an individual.
