Treat each other as adults, peers, and If you are interrupting each other, verbal or

activities and the third and final is lunch
detention.
Be prepared to fail and support each other. When someone answers a question incorrectly
and others do not actively assist that student,
then the teacher will call on specific people to
also explain how they got their answer to the
class.
Rules two and three are made specifically to encourage students to become diverse learners. I
completely believe that by encouraging students to utilize different materials and discuss their
ideas in a Socratic style format will enhance their ability to retain the lesson information. Also, it
generates a deeper understanding of the content compared to a one-dimension teaching approach.
These rules reflect my personal teaching philosophy because I believe in a procedure heavy
classroom because that is what I have seen more effective in classes that can handle extra
responsibilities. Therefore, with addition to the district or school policies that cover issues of
bullying, cheating, etc. mine focus on things that occur during my class specifically. This take
away the monotony many students feel when the rules overlap and are basically the same all
throughout secondary education.
