2. All communication devices should be in silent mode, or preferably switched off during the contest
proper. If a cellular phone goes off or is used during the contest, the phone will be places under the
custody of the proctor and will be returned at the end of the contest.

offense and will be disqualified and immediately eliminated from the contest for the second offense.
Rules
1. Teams are tasked to construct a circuit based on given specifications, to be shown on the event itself,
as fast as they can.
2. Tried and tested materials will be given for each team to work on. Spares will be provided in case of
accidents. Note that these are limited since it is expected that careful handling is part of the contest.
3. Data sheets, schematics and all of the required values will be given, but it is not assured that is
everything is present in the given materials. It is assured though that what is given is enough to meet
the requirements.
4. There is no multimeter or any sort of measuring device given. There is only a voltmeter present in
the event. Use of the voltmeter is on a per request basis. It is expected that a team will not use the
voltmeter for more than one (1) minute at a time.
5. The circuit to be made will consist of multiple subcircuits which may or may not need each other to
operate correctly. Teams may opt to have each of their subcircuits checked up to 3 times without
deductions; succeeding checks will incur 15-minute penalties.
6. The schematics of some subcircuits will be given.
7. For other subcircuit/s, only a description will be given. It is expected that the team can design their
own subcircuit/s. in case a team is unable to make their own design; they may choose to accept a 45-
minute penalty in exchange for the design of each subcircuit.
8. Teams are given two (2) hours to make the circuit function. Teams will be given 3 chances to have
their circuits checked without deductions, succeeding checks will incur 15-minute penalty.
9. The first team to make the whole circuit work will be declared the Champions of Circuit Sprint 2018.
The next two succeeding teams will also be recognized.
10. If less than 3 teams managed to finish the circuit within the time limit, the rankings will be
determined by how many subcircuits are completed in the least amount of time.
