Training: An increasing number of companies and business houses are facing the crisis when it comes to
hiring skilled work force. Not all graduates are industry-ready, making it quintessential for building a
strong bridge between the academics and industry by focusing on the benchmarks of the corporate world;
and linking the standard academic curriculum with industry requirements.
1. ASSESSMENT
2. INTERNSHIP REPORT: After completion of Internship, the student should prepare a comprehensive report to
indicate what he has observed and learnt in the training period. The student may contact Industrial Supervisor/
Faculty Mentor/TPO for assigning special topics and problems and should prepare the final report on the assigned
topics. Daily diary will also help to a great extent in writing the industrial report since much of the information has
already been incorporated by the student into the daily diary. The training report should be signed by the Internship
Supervisor, Faculty Mentor.
The Internship report will be evaluated on the basis of following criteria:
i. Originality.
ii. Adequacy and purposeful write-up.
iii. Organization, format, drawings, sketches, style, language etc.
iv. Variety and relevance of learning experience.
v. Practical applications, relationships with basic theory and concepts taught in the course.
1. EVALUATION BY INDUSTRY :
The industry will evaluate the students based on the Punctuality, eagerness to learn, Maintenance of Daily Diary and skill
test in addition to any remarks.
Faculty Mentor with expert panel will supervise the work done by the student through Presentation/Viva-voce.Student will
submit the report of Industrial Training to the faculty with all required documents as:
1. Certificate
2. Acknowledgement from the Industry.
3. Project If Any.
Seminar/presentation/viva-voce will enable sharing knowledge & experience amongst students & teachers and build
communication skills and confidence in students.
Students are supposed to prepare the industrial training report in his/her own words and submit it along with
certificate. Soft Copy of Report and certificate also be submitted to the Proctor titled with your Enrollment no.,
Industry name, class and Section.
5. FINAL ASSESSMENT
c) If a student fails to appear in the final assessment as per schedule, he/she shall be treated as absent.
d) The breakup of marks for final assessment subject to acceptance of External Examiner shall be as under-
7. DOCUMENTATION
Sufficient time should be allowed for satisfactory completion of reports, taking into account that initial
drafts should be critiqued by the faculty guide and corrected by the student at each stage. The File is the
principal means by which the work carried out will be assessed and therefore great care should be taken
in its preparation.
It is recommended that the student meets the industry guide regularly during the course of Training, and
maintain a record of the discussions, survey details, derivations etc. Such a system will allow easy and quick
access to the details and chronology of the work. Please read the guidelines carefully and make sure your
report strictly conforms to specifications.
FINAL REPORT
The final report should be written in the following the format: (Deadline: On the scheduled day of
presentation Internally and at the time of External Viva-voce).
Abstract
An abstract is a brief or condensed statement by the writer, or the essential ideas of the writer‟s work. The abstract
must not exceed 600 words in length and should a statement of the problem, an explanation of the methods and
procedures used in gathering data, and a summary of the findings. It should not be just a summary statement of
each chapter.
Acknowledgements (from Industry)
In the “Acknowledgements” page, the writer recognizes his indebtedness for guidance and assistance of the thesis
adviser and other members of the faculty. Courtesy demands that he also recognize specific contributions by other
persons or institutions such as libraries and research foundations. Acknowledgements should be expressed simply,
tastefully, and tactfully duly singed above the name. E-mail should also be given at the end.

Page numbers – All text pages as well as program source code listings should be numbered at the bottom center
of the pages.
The student will submit his/her training report/thesis in the prescribed format.
It is recommended that in no case the number of pages in the report shall exceed 80 pages, and not below 60 pages
of typed matter reckoned from the First page of Chapter 1 to the last page of the Appendix.
