 Numerology

Of the all the metaphysical sciences – Astrology, Tarot, Palmistry and other spiritually relevant studies –
Numerology is the least known or understood, yet the most accessible. In looking to the answers to
questions numerology generates, you can find yourself and your path!

Numerology is the study of numbers, and the occult manner in which they reflect certain aptitudes and
character tendencies, as an integral part of the cosmic plan. You need the birth date of an individual and
the complete name as inputs to unlock all the secrets that the numbers hold. There are 9 numbers used in
constructing numerology charts. Each alphabetical letter has been assigned a numerical value that
provides a related cosmic vibration!

Numerology helps to determine and reflect a person’s characteristics, talents, motivations and path in life.
The sum of the numbers in your name and date of birth have a direct cosmic relation to themselves, and
to who you are!

Numerology is the easiest of the occult arts and is easy to understand and use. All that is needed is the
birth date and the complete name of an individual to unlock all of the secrets that the numbers hold and
then the future course of the individual can be derived from it.

There are eleven numbers used in constructing Numerology charts. These numbers are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,
9, 11, and 22. Each of these numbers represents different characteristics and expressions.

Master numbers are the only exception to rule of reducing to the single digit. The master numbers 11 and
22 are intensified versions of the single digit number they replace (2 and 4). These numbers suggest a
potential for a high degree of learning and/or achievement very often in a more stressful environment. In
many individuals, the master numbers operate at a much more tangible or practical level, becoming
essentially the same as the single digit parallel.

The first consideration of numerology is often the date of birth. This date, expressed numerically, as
mm/dd/yyyy, is used to determine what is called the Life Path Number and a variety of other factors in
the numerology reading.

Numerology experts are able to determine key points in people lives, and moments in which to make major
5 moves and decisions, such as traveling, investing and marriage.

History
The history of numerology is somewhat cloudy with no definite answer as to where it first originated. Egypt
and Babylon are recognized as the earliest recorded history of numerology by the majority of numerologists. It
was here that the Chaldean system was developed under the influence of the Hebrews. There is also evidence
of the use of numerology thousands of years ago in China, Rome, Japan and Greece.

Chaldea is the southwest most portion of Mesopotamia, also known as Sumeria, and its capitol city was Ur.
It is considered to be the cradle of Western civilization, dating back over 10,000 years.

All the sciences having originated from there, spread in a westward direction. They were a distinctive
group of people, with no relation in ethnicity, language or culture to any other known civilization. The
Chaldean tradition states that their origin was not human, but Divine. And that their task was to spread
Divine knowledge to all mankind. They considered their sacred knowledge as universal, and timeless.

In Chaldea, all areas of life were inseparably linked with Numerology, the science of numbers. Not only at
a mathematical level, but metaphysical as well.

For the Chaldeans, spirituality, numerology, astrology and medicine were not isolated branches of
knowledge, but were all intertwined.

The Chaldeans considered their sciences to be of Divine origin. They regarded that all their knowledge
came from a source, back in antiquity, from which all mankind drew their knowledge. As divisions among
men multiplied, this original knowledge, spread and was described in the languages and cultures of
different groups of men. At a certain point in time, a great deluge removed many of these inhabitants
from the face of the earth, erasing forever any traces as to their existence.

Some of the remaining tribe of the Chaldean Dynasty, migrated to various parts of the world, spreading
across to Greece as well! From where, the famous Mathematician Pythagoras took the learning ahead and
founded a completely different school of numerology!

The influences Chaldean sciences exerted were many, and it constitutes the basis, from which western
sciences evolved from.

River to find a way to prevent the flooding that regularly devastated the communities along the river. During
the course of this work Wu discovered a tortoise shell which had a fascinating 3x3 magic square on its back.
This magic square on the tortoise’s back was called the Lo Shu Grid.

What makes the Lo Shu Grid so special is that every row, column and diagonal in the grid adds up to the
number 15. Wu solved the flooding problem and gained fame for evolving the magic system of Lo shu Grid.

At first sight, the method looks complex, but the reality is that Lou Shu Grid is very simple to use and
understand the meaning.

Using the Lo Shu Grid Method, the individual fills up a chart. The numbers in the chart are positioned
as illustrated below.

Each row, and each column in this grid when added up comes to 15! Vertically, horizontally or
diagonally. The total is 15. And thus, it is also known as the LO SHU MAGICK SQUARE!!
How to use Lo Shu grid?
To use the Lo Shu Grid Method, people need to calculate their number.
To calculate the number, the birth date is used (day, month and year).
Lo Shu Grid method doesn’t sum up all numbers.
Instead, the method puts all numbers from the birth date in a grid. Every number has a designated spot in
89 the grid. Zeros are not used. For example, all 1s go in the middle bottom square, 4s go to the top left box, 2s to the top right box etc. Every number symbolizes a specific trait that
people poses.

Once all numbers are added to the grid, individuals can read their personality traits, both weaknesses and
strengths.

So for someone with a birth date 11/10/1986, the Lo Shu grid will look like this:

This grid will show you how many times a number is repeated in the grid and which numbers
are missing. And based on this, the personality of the person will be read. Use the following

 How To Read A Numerology
Chart
By the time you have read your personal numerology report, you will notice that virtually every number is
represented in your chart. This is true for most people. Naturally, this can be confusing. The reason for this
confusion is that we haven't learned to prioritize the relative values of each number and its position in the

chart.

The Life Path, for example, carries far more weight than most numbers. In addition, each member of the
core numbers (Life Path, Expression, Soul Urge, Personality, and Birth Day number) bears special
significance to our personality. The Soul Urge represents your inner needs and motivations - the more
private you - while the Personality number reveals the public you; the face, or the mask, you show the
world. It is what people recognize first when they meet you.

One of the benefits of numerology is to differentiate and to reveal the many aspects of your personality
and inner being. It also shows how aspects within you influence each other. What follows is a short course
in how to prioritize the numbers of the chart, to discern their individual importance, and to show how
each aspect of the chart relates to a specific part of your being.

The Life Path number is by far the most important number in the chart. Your Life Path number represents
a cycle. The longest cycle of your life, it runs from the first day of your life to the last day of your life.

Perhaps the most important concept to recognize, and probably the least understood, is that all the
numbers based on your date of birth reflect something about the "momentum" of your life. The flow, the
current which carries you forward, the stream of life. Therefore, every number in your chart derived from
your date of birth tells something about the direction of your life, the path you walk on, and the
opportunities and challenges you encounter.

Next, read the Birth Day number, which is closely related to the Life Path, and should be seen in
connection to it. Follow with the Expression number, which reveals your talents, abilities, goals, and is
particularly important in relation to career.

Then read the soul urge, and understand it as the motivator behind virtually all of your choices, in
particular those related to life style and environment. The Personality number completes this picture of
the core numbers. Remember, while the Personality number is the last of the core numbers, it is the first
impression people will get. The Personality number is usually what gets you hired, while the Expression
number is the greatest influence on how well you perform. The soul urge number influences the type of
conditions you like to work under; alone or with people; in a small non-profit organization, or in a big
corporation; in the inner-city or in the country. It also influences your choice of career.
The core numbers outline the basic personality. The rest of the chart reflects a closer look at you - your
many nuances, individual character traits, and strengths and weaknesses.
The Challenges follow, and are, in my opinion, among the most important sources of information flowing
from your chart. The Challenges, more than any other number, point to aspects of your personality that
you have to work on. They represent the first and most obvious obstacles that stand between you and
success. Next, read the Karmic Lessons, which reveal weaknesses or undeveloped areas. Follow with the
Hidden Passion, which reveals what you are good at, and what you love to do.

When you study a chart, first look at the individual numbers and their relative positions in the chart. Next,
look for numbers that will have a strong impact upon each other. (This is an aspect of numerology that 101
requires practice and takes time.) For example, what happens when a person has a 1 Heart's Desire, an 8
Expression, and a 2 Personality? Or, what does it mean when a person has three 4's among the core
numbers, but many letters with the value of 5 in the name? With practice, you will learn to read a chart with
confidence and clarity.
