Read for information and demonstrate understanding by answering at least 4/7 comprehension;
predicting the possible effects. (Year 4)
OBJECTIVE
Read for information and demonstrate understanding by giving at least 2 main idea(s) and
related supporting details. (Year 5)

Set Induction : Teacher recalls back information on ways of helping the world to be a better place
to live. Teacher recalls the learnt vocabulary and connects to the lesson of the day.
1. Presentation : Teacher introduces pupils on possible ways to save the planet with aid of video as
pupils brainstorm generate their ideas.
2. Practice : Pupils practise the reading based on the notice with peers as teacher guides with
ACTIVITIES suitable examples according to pupil’s level. (Year 4 & Year 5)
3. Production : Pupils perform writing activities in worksheets in ‘Think,Pair,Share’ method to predict
and complete possible effects on environment. (Year 4)
Pupils draw Multi-map to show causes and effects of pollutions. (Year 5)
4. Closure : Pupils present their results in group. (Year 5)
Pupils and teacher indulge in brainstorming activities with Q&A sessions. (Year 4)

Pupils will be able to read for information and demonstrate understanding by answering
