SUBJECT: FUSING MODIFICATIONS FOR CLEANING WEB

GENERAL:
To prevent the cleaning web from coming loose the following parts have been changed and newly added on
the fusing unit.
[1] An addition of a variable brake on the cleaning web.
[2] Changed one-way clutch method to ratchet method on a holder roller.

 Replace with a new Cleaning Unit (P/N: D1294304) when a cleaning web issue occurs because
individual parts are not compatible due to a frame change on the Fusing Unit. After that, individual
parts can be replaced.

UNITS AFFECTED:
All SP 8300DN units listed below and manufactured after the serial numbers provided will have the new
parts installed during production.
