 USA Immigration Process
Generally, a citizen of a foreign country who wishes to enter the United States must first obtain a visa,
either a nonimmigrant visa for temporary stay or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. Citizens of
qualified countries may be able to visit the U.S. without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program. If you do
not qualify for the Visa Waiver Program (Note: Indian Nationals do not qualify for the Visa Waiver
Program) or are traveling to study, work, participate in an exchange program, or any other purpose that
does not fall under a B visa purpose of travel, you will need a nonimmigrant visa. A visa does not
guarantee entry to the United States. A visa simply indicates that a U.S. consular officer has determined
that you are eligible to apply for entry to the United States for a specific purpose.

Nonimmigrant Visas
A nonimmigrant visa is used by tourists, businesspeople, students, or specialty workers who wish to stay
for a period in the United States to accomplish specific purposes. According to U.S. visa laws and
regulations, most nonimmigrant visa applicants must demonstrate to the consular officer that they have
strong ties to their country of residence and must show that they intend to depart the United States after
their temporary stay.

Overview
The United States welcomes foreign citizens who come to the United States to participate in exchange
programs. Before applying for a visa, all exchange visitor applicants are required to be accepted and
approved by an authorized program sponsor. When accepted, the applicant will receive the necessary
approval documentation from the educational institution or program sponsors, which needs to be
submitted to the US consulate while applying for a visa.
The exchange visitor program's J visa, which is designed to promote the interchange of persons,
knowledge, and skills in the fields of education, arts, and sciences. Participants include students at all
academic levels; trainees obtaining on-the-job training with firms, institutions, and agencies; teachers of
primary, secondary, and specialized schools; professors coming to teach or do research at institutions of
higher learning; research scholars; professional trainees in the medical and allied fields; and international
visitors coming for the purpose of travel, observation, consultation, research, training, sharing, or
demonstrating specialized knowledge or skills, or participating in organized people-to-people programs.

below the details of the process.

Visa Type: J1 Visa (Paid internship program) Exchange Visitor Visa

Eligibility: Any degree / IT professionals (0-5 yrs. Exp.)
Visa Validity: 18 months – j1 trainee visa (min. 1 yr. Exp.)
12 months –j1 interns visa (Fresher’s)
 How to Apply

Step 1: Documents for Verification:

To apply for a J-1 visa, you must submit the following documents:
 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) photograph taken within the last six months.
 Resume (including details of education and work experience with dates and locations)
 Copy of passport [all pages containing Visas and Stamps, if any]
 Copy of educational certificates
 Copy of PAN card.
 Copy of employment related documents – if applicable
 Registration form (provided by us)

Step 2: Interview(s)
Once the document verification is done, there will be an interview with the India –HR team. This is
the first level of screening where your communication skills will be interviewed succeeding which,
you will be put on to the next level of screening with US HR team

Step 3: Process initialization

 On successful completion of the interviews, you must register by paying a registration fee
(whichever applicable). Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable.
 J-1 process will be initiated, and the paperwork will be handled by AI Cyber Solutions.
 Along with the J1 application process, every candidate is required to undergo training for IT
positions and /or internship for business professional with the US team. We will walk you through
the entire J1 application process alongside your training.
 Registration Fee Includes:
1. Document verification
2. Interview with USA HR Team
3. Technical Training
4. Paper work- (DS-2019)
5. Training for J1 sponsor interview

Step 4: Interview with J1 Sponsor firm

 The candidate will have to participate in an interview with the J1 Sponsor firm
 All the documents submitted, roles defined at your internship, and expected questions would be
provided by AI Cyber Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
 Your J-1 visa will be issued on clearing this interview with the sponsors during/at the end of the
training depending on the application status. However, the candidate would still have to go
through the J1 Visa interview with the Embassy
Step 5: Processing fee and time
Upon sponsor approval of the visa, we shall further precede the application process with a payment of
processing fee (whichever applicable). The process could take anywhere from 3-4 months, provided
all the documents are submitted on time and depending on the embassy or consulate where he/she
applies for the visa.
Please note that the processing fee is fully refundable [read the refund policy for more information]
Processing Fee includes the following:
 Sponsorship fee
 Visa assistance
 Full-time support from our local team
 Job oriented training
 Live project training
 Free: Bizz skills training
 Food and Accommodation.
 Medical Insurance
 For Interns (0-1 year experience)
 Food and accommodation for 12 months
 A minimum stipend of $13/hour
 Permitted to stay for 12 months in the USA as an Intern
 For Trainees (Candidates with 2-5 years of work experience)
 Food and accommodation during an internship at our host companies i.e. for 3 months
 Candidates will be trained during these 3 months and placed in any of the client
companies. If the candidate fails to secure a job in the client company, the candidate
will continue with AI Cyber Solutions and will receive a minimum stipend of
$5000/month.
 Permitted to stay for 18 months in the USA as a trainee

Step 6: Embassy interview:

 You are now ready to schedule the visa appointment.
 We will schedule two appointments, one with the Visa Application Center (VAC) and one for the
visa interview with the Embassy or Consulate.
o First, schedule visa interview appointment at the Embassy or Consulate.
o Second, schedule an appointment at a Visa Application Centre. This appointment will
allow you to go to one of the five Visa Application Centre locations to have your
fingerprints and photo taken. This appointment must be at least 1 day before your visa
interview appointment at the Embassy or Consulate. At this point, you will need three
pieces of information to schedule the appointment:
1. Your passport numbers
2. The date you paid your fee  will be provided by AI Cyber Solutions Pvt. Ltd
3. The ten (10) digit barcode number from your DS-160 confirmation page  will
be provided by AI Cyber Solutions Pvt. Ltd
  We will provide possible guidance for the U.S. Embassy interview and schedule the interview(s)
accordingly.
 The intern can depart for the U.S. within one month of J-1 visa approval

Refund Policy
 If the J1 visa application is not successful for any reason, we shall refund the processing in full,
which takes around 90 days.
 You may submit a request to refund the processing fee on the same day the visa is rejected.
 Refund is estimated to be credited in the account, used for the order payment.
 Refunds will be made by the same payment method which was used for paying the processing fee.
 If the standard timeframe mentioned above has passed and you have still not received the refund,
please contact your credit or debit card issuer or your bank for more information.
 Please note that the timing of the actual account credit is dependent on multiple external agencies
such as banks, payment gateways and external couriers (for cheques).

Re-Apply
 You can opt to reapply! (Charges applicable)
 This must be brought to our notice within a month from the visa rejection.
 The charges will include the processing fee and the embassy interview fee, which is non-
refundable on rejection
 You can re-apply with us only once

Dependent Policy
Spouses, including same-sex spouses, and/or unmarried children under the age of 21 who wish to
accompany or join the principal visa holder of a J-1 visa to the United States for the duration of his/her
stay must have J-2 visas. Spouses or children who do not intend to reside in the United States with the
principal visa holder, but who will visit for vacations only, may be eligible to apply for visitor (B-2) visas.
The spouse and/or child of an exchange visitor in the United States may not work while holding a J-2 visa
unless they have filed Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services (USCIS) must have reviewed the Form I-765 and given permission to the J-2 holder
to work. The USCIS website has a PDF document titled "Employment Authorization" that has more
information.

Please Note: We regret to inform that we are not processing Dependent Visa for now. The expense would
solely be taken care by the J1 Applicant.
