folklore of the Colombian
Caribbean Coast are

popular music and
dancing.

celebrated. Colombia from Saturday
February 22 until Tuesday
February 25 in the year

the Saturday before Ash
Wednesday and ends on
the Tuesday immediately
after.

rumba, the Carnival of
Barranquilla comes to an
end with the death of
Joselito Carnaval, who is
the most representative
character for being a
symbol of joy and
celebration. On the
Tuesday before Ash
Wednesday, beginning
Catholic Lent, Joselito's
body is wept and buried
symbolically by the happy
widows who shared with
him his rumba days.
Why it is a Because it is cataloged in
special Colombia as a
celebration. masterpiece of the Oral
and Intangible Heritage of
Humanity, it is the most
awaited date of the year
not only for Colombians
but also for those who
want to enjoy during the
four days of a cultural and
folkloric event full of ethnic
diversity, joy, dance, music
and entertainment.
