Description 1

1 Description
This manual contains the information on the general features of the software tools included in the suite
WSC . More specifically, we offer an overview of the application programs for file storage, machine
configuration, management and conversion of the language files.

2 Archive manager
The first tool is named “ArcMang”, which is part of the WSC installation package. In the “[…]/Bin” folder
you will find the *.exe file to launch the application.

2.1 General features


This program permits you to copy or delete programs, sub-programs and working list files.
It’s also possible to back-up and restore folders in which the system and the machine configuration files
are located.

Thanks to program you can


create backup copies;
delete editor files, subprogram files and working list files;
store your backup in ZIP format;
restore folders in which the whole system and machine configuration files are stored.

Main work form


This is the main form, shown when the application is running.

Substantially, this form is made of seven buttons divided in four groups, according to their operational
features. Each group of buttons correspond to the relating menu option.
In addition, always in this latter we find the “File” option allowing you to close the application and the “?”
option giving information on the application.

2.2 Programs management


The commands in this section permit you to copy or delete the program files.

Programs copy
This command copies the program file, such as *.TC N or *.C NC , from the “Source Drive” to the
“Destination Drive”.

The program shows a form in which following commands must be selected first:

Destination Drive

Form for select programs to be copied

In the section “Archive Directory” you will find all the programs that can be copied.
Underneath the programs list there are:
• The total number of the selected programs.
• The total byte dimension of selected programs.
• The byte dimension of free space in the destination drive.
C lick [ Copy ] to start the copying procedure.

The program shows a form allowing you to select the programs to be deleted.

After selecting the programs to delete, click [ Delete ] to start the deleting procedure.

2.3 Sub-programs management


The commands into this section permits to copy or delete the C opy and Delete subprograms files

Sub-programs copy
allows you to transfer the subprograms from a SOURC E archive (outgoing) to a DESTINATION archive
(incoming)

This command behaves in the same way as the “programs copy” command. The only difference is
that this command manages the subprogram in the “…\PRODUC T\SUB” folder.

Sub-programs delete
allows you to cancel some subprograms from the SOURC E archive (outgoing).

This command behaves in the same way as the “programs delete” command, as well as the graphic
interface. The only difference is that this command manages the subprogram in the “…\PRODUC T
\SUB” reference path, instead of “…\PRODUC T” reference path.

2.4 Lists management


The commands into this section permits you to copy or delete the work list files.

This command behaves in the same way as the “programs copy” command, as well as the graphic
interface. The only difference is that this command manages the subprogram in the “…\PRODUC T\LSX”
reference path, instead of “…\PRODUC T” reference path.

This command behaves in the same way as the “programs delete” command, as well as the graphic
interface. The only difference is that this command manages the work list file in the “…\PRODUC T
\SUB” folder, instead of the \PRODUC T”.

2.5 System and machine configuration management


The commands in the “Parameters management” section permit you to create and restore a back-up
folder concerning all system and machine configuration files.

In the Options section you can select what kind of files you need to manage.
After selecting “Archive Directory" just click [ Backup ] to start the back-up process, or [ Restore ] to
start the restore process.
The Restore command is available only if you log-in with constructor password level.

In this form you can select the default “Source Drive” used during the back-up and restore
functionality.

3 Language files manager


The second tool, named “LangManager”, allows you to create, edit, save and export a language file in
different formats. You can find the *.exe file to launch the application in the “[…]/BIN” folder.

3.1 Graphic user interface


Command bar
In the command bar, made in the new ribbon-bar style, there are all the commands concerning the
complete management of every language files. A very remarkable fact about this command bar is that
this command bar changes during the program execution, enabling or disabling the various commands.

3.2 Edit and export a file


These are the the main features provided by the application program.

Main form during file management

Once you have opened a file (see figure), the application shows the content of the file in a data table,
where each row represents a message and each column represents a language. The first column shows
the identification number of the message.

At the bottom right corner, there are the commands to select, add or remove a language:

You can select an additional language from the combo-box list. If that language is already available
in the file, the “Remove” button will be enabled; otherwise, the “Add” button will be activated.

Hereunder the description of tool of the main toolbar:

In this window you have to select the language file to be opened.


You can open the language file whose extensions are as follows:
• Language LNG or LNA (*.lng, *.lna)
• Language XMLNG (*.xmlng)
• Text File CSV (*.csv)
• Text File TXT (*.txt)
• Text File Unicode (*.txt)
• Txt Unicode for Excel (*.txt)

This command permits you to save the current language file. If it is the first saving process, you will
be able to give a name to the new file.

Export
Export

In this window you can give a name to the file to be exported and furthermore, you can select the
export format of the above mentioned file. The available formats are the same as the “Save”
explanation command.

Print
Print

• C lick the button displayed here.

This command prints all messages available in a file.

Cut
Cut

• C lick the button displayed here.

This command cuts the selected text.

Copy

• C lick the button displayed here.

This command copies the selected text.

Modify all languages


Modify all languages

• C lick the button displayed here.

Just click the button to pass from checked state to unchecked state.

If this feature is enabled, every modification of a message will automatically affect all other
languages.

Extend languages in LNA


Extend languages in LNA

• C lick the button displayed here.

Just click the button to pass from checked state to unchecked state.
The selection of this command affect both the opening and the export of a language file.

If this feature is enabled:

• During the file opening, for each LNG or XMLNG file, the application will automatically open the
corresponding LNA or XMLNA file and show the content of both files.
• During the file saving or exporting, a LNG or XMLNG file is created for the five standard languages
(English, Italian, French, German, Spanish); the application will automatically save or export the
corresponding LNA or XMLNA file for all the additional languages.

Settings

The application shows the following form

In this form you can select the default path used in the open and save file dialog box.
You can choose the fixed path or the last path used.

Settings are available only if you log-in with constructor password level.

5 Simulator switch
This application, named “SimulatorSwitch.exe”, is used to change the operational context by activating
the “Simulator” and “Machine” functionalities.

Just click the relating “Start” button to activate the Simulator or the Machine mode.
After clicking, a message box will inform the user on how to set the machine in Emergency state before
any kind of modification.

6 Simulator
The “Simulator.exe” application is used to simulate the movements and the behavior of the machine
while working on a piece, thanks to a graphic two-dimensional preview.
Once you have loaded and optimized an editor file, this application shows how the machine works on the
piece and an estimated time of the working process.

7 Wsc bench-mark
This application, named “WscBenchMark.exe”, is used to evaluate the technical features of the PC in
which you will install the WSC suite.

Just click on the button to start the analysis of the hardware and software features of your PC .
At the end of the evaluation process, the green back-ground color means that the system has the
requested technical features, otherwise the red back-ground color means that the system doesn’t have
the minimum technical feature needed for the correct use of the WSC Suite.
