At first, I didn't even know what K-Pop was.

I thought they were just trying hard,

pretty boys and girls who used their charms to get the attention of their fans—but I was
wrong very wrong. Back when I was grade 6 , I had a friend who was so obsessed with
10 k-pop boy group, and my initial reaction was, "How do you even remember all their
names? "But when she showed me their music video, I was surprised with their
performance. Slowly, I began to know their names, and before I knew it, I was already
so deep into the fandom! Here are the stages you go through once you get fall deeply
on being a fangirl:

·The "Curiosity" Stage: This is where it all begins. You watch performance. It has
somehow sparked your interest and you're suddenly eyeing those boys. You begin
"researching" for this bubbly boys has gotten your attention, and you want to find out
who are they. A few hours later, you already know their birthday, height, and how pretty
his sister is. This is where you also find out that they train for years before they get what
position they are.

·The "Addiction" Stage: You are slowly getting hooked. You watch all the MVs of them.
Saturdays are spent glued to your computer and you start to list down your favorite
members, but as you continue to watch, the guy with the amazing dance skills or
charms makes your heart flutter. #BiasWrecker

·The "Drowning" Stage: Just when you were about to recover from your favorite band, a
new group debuts and you're sitting there obviously intrigued on who they are. You try
your best not to stan them but you know deep in your heart that their song will be your
next target. Like they say, once you get into K-Pop fandom, it will be hard to leave. Look
at me, I'm still and will always be a fan.

Being a fan girl is not easy, being a fan girl is so hard to us. How do I say so?
Because I’m one of them. First of all I will define what is fangirl. Fan girl is a girl or
woman who is an extremely or overly enthusiastic fan of someone or something. I find
my freedom of being a fan girl, it makes me happy every time. Supporting my favorite
group, and no one can blame me. Screaming at the top of our lungs every time their
entertainment releases of their new comeback? Well that doesn’t make any difference,
because fan girls always do that. I don’t care whatever they say, even if it’s not good to
hear, besides some people always judge us with or without any reasons. For me
“Fangirling” is being you. It always describe who you really are. I’m having too much
“fangirling” into K-pop, and I’m proud to say that I’m stanning K-pop for almost 8 years. I
remember the first kpop that I stan is Exo.

Yes, I will admit I can’t understand what they’re saying, we look stupid but who cares?
It’s not based on what music were listening and language. And It’s not just base how
beautiful voice and talent because we can’t understand what they’re saying. Despite of
being a fangirl, K-pop change my boring life, because of them they inspired me that we
need to balance of being a fan and a student they will be happy if we use this fangirling
in a good way.

Being a fan girl was never easy. Apart from the constant heartache that results from
knowing you'll never be with them, and you will never be their girl. Almost of us were
spending our hours in Social Media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr,
Instagram, Vive and many websites to entertain, with whom? Of course no other than
my bias, who is perfect I like to cuddle with hi or like you just saw his hand you know he
is. I’m not being over acting but it’s like that, life is hard when you are a Kpop fan, first
it’s hard to log-out in Twitter. Second, it’s hard to save money in merchandise.
Lastly, it’s difficult to take along with studies and with your recreation, like the one of
their song stuck on your mind and you cannot focus to your class because the lyrics
starting to pop up to your mind. You wait for their comebacks and even do a countdown
for it. You save up on your data so you could watch it on your phone just in case they
release the MV when you're at school. And this is ridiculous, are you really going to
search formulas or search pictures of your bias? It comes naturally that some
expressions of Koreans you’ll also adopt that expression like Aigoo (Oops), Jebal
(Please), Aish (Oh no!) and other phrases and the time goes by you will memorize the
alphabet and how to pronounce the words in Korean. And you will be surprised when
you hear the Kpop it’s like natural like our national language, and it’s hard to believe that
for me it’s natural even there are no subtitle I understand what they are saying.

I will never ever forget nor regret and I’m proud that I am a fangirl of these kpop
groups, especially BTS, EXO, and BLACKPINK who changes my life and have a big
impact to it. For past eight years and until now they still inspire me, because of them I
have goal to finish my studies and get a good job I dedicate this goal for my family and
for them. This experiences will have the most part in my life, sometimes it makes you
happy and excited and also an annoying fan and immature. I’d like to advise who are
fangirls like me to be happy because of or our Idols and be responsible in your fangirling
it causes some consequences, so you better to balance everything. I believe that once
you enter for being fangirl/ fanboy there's no turning back. Moreover, they are motivated
by the thought that our idol/s will recognize us one day – not only as a fan but as a
successful person who our idol can be proud of.
