1 Purpose of the Method Statement
The purpose of the Method Statement is to provide systematic control and directions for the activity
referenced. The preparation of the method statement helps manage the work and ensures that the
necessary details, along with any precautions, have been communicated to those involved in the work.
The method statement is intended for those conducting the task and so should be no longer than
required, it should be clear, not overly complicated and illustrated where necessary.

The method statement should always consider the following:

 Is there a safer way of doing the task?


 Will workers actually implement the controls as planned?
 Do the controls make the task difficult or inconvenient?
 Are there any small changes which could improve the intended method?
 Will controls work in adverse weather conditions?
 Will workers require additional briefing, instruction or resources?

2 Scope of Works
2.1 Scope
Installation the fire blanket of shutdown valve 10" & 8"(UZV)

2.2 Description of Activities to be Undertaken

 Preparation the materials and tools
 Site restoration

Marine terminal (Jetty 1).

2.4 Access Requirements


Walk at the safe road selected by the safety team.

2.5 Isolation/Segregation of Existing Infrastructure


No need isolation because of the work on the valve body .

3 Personnel and Responsibilities

3.1 Construction Manger
Planning ahead to prevent problems and resolve any problem, Determine the job
requirements and select tools, materials, equipment to this work and send workers
to the site.
3.2 Discipline (etc.) Supervisor
is responsible to organizing workflow and ensuring that workers understand their
duties or delegated tasks.

3.3 HSE Advisor


is responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and
developing measures to assure personnel safety. The safety advisor ensures the
site safety and Health Plan is prepared and implemented. The Safety Officer ensures
there are safety messages in each Incident Action Plan.
3.4 Workers
all workers must be follow the safety rules and organization rules .

5 Execution of Works
The steps you identified in section 2.2 but now in more detail, how will you prepare the site, how deep
will the excavation be, how will you excavate, what arrangements will be in place for shoring or banking,
what size will the scaffold be, how many access points will it have, etc.

5.1 Step 1 permit must be prepare before start the work with perfect work description
and all attachment required JHA, MS etc.
5.2 Step 2 shift all materials and tools to the site
5.3 Step 3 install frame and fire blanket around the body of the valves
5.4 Step 4 Inspection and housekeeping of the site, retreating, and close permit.

6 HSE Requirements
6.1 HSE Requirements
-Barrier around work location.

- Fire extinguisher. If there is accidental fire

-Continue gas test.

6.2 Inspections, audits, toolbox talks, TRIC, etc.


HSE supervisor will manage inspections etc. and will conduct them for more often in the same day and
will they be recorded.

6.3 Permits Required


This work a cold work we preparing blue permit.

6.4 PPE
Full PPE must be worn like helmet ,safety shoes ,glasses ,FR coverall.

6.5 Welfare Arrangements


Provision of shade, rest facilities, toilets, drinking water, etc.

6.6 Emergency Actions & Equipment


If any danger thing happiness in site during the work we will Leave work and withdraw quietly and go to
the master point according to the evacuation plan in site.
