RESUMEN

Todo empieza desde que los Atletic´s Oakland pierden en contra de los Yankees en el 2001,
además, pierden tres jugadores claves y tenían que ver la formar de reemplazarlos a ellos con el
poco presupuesto que ellos tenían, Billy trata de diseñar una táctica para poder armar un equipo
que pueda ser competitivo para la siguiente temporada, pero al principio no consigue los
jugadores que él tenía pensado, y conoce a Peter Brand, esta persona tenía una ideología de ver el
béisbol de otra manera enfocado cálculos, porcentajes estadísticas, Billy termina negociando y lo
trae a trabajar en el equipo de Oakland como su asistente en el cual comienza a laborar haciendo
evaluaciones de jugadores posibles que están en el mercado, además le enseña un código para
proyectar jugadores ,el cual le da un valor a cada jugador y se enfocan en 25 jugadores que son
subestimados para poder armar su equipo con el presupuesto que poseen.
