Summary
This study was conducted in Rosario Integrated School with a total of seventy
respondents of ABM Senior High school. Descriptive method was used in this study. The
data was gathered through survey questionnaire. The data gathered were statistically
The main purpose of this study is to determine the factors affecting the performance
in Mathematics of Grade 11 ABM Learners. It aims to find out the appropriate answers to
the following questions (a) what is the profile of the respondents in terms of sex, age,
monthly family income, parents educational attainment and grade in Mathematics? (b) To
what extent do the following factors affects the academic performance in Mathematics as
perceived by the respondents as to teacher factor, student factor, school factor, peer factor,
family factor.

ABM learners such as Student Factors in terms of interest and study habits,
materials and School factor, the respondents averagely rated each as “Always”.
Also, the respondents averagely rated the Peer Factor and Family Factor as
“Often”.
Conclusion
Majority of the ABM learners that participated are female. The averagely ages are
ranging from 15-16 years old. The learners mostly got an average of 90-100. Most of them
has a monthly family income ranging from Php 5,000 – Php 15,000. Most of the learners
Based on the data gathered, the overall weighted mean of level of interest in
mathematics was 4.31 and interpreted as “always”. Study habits had an average weighted
mean of 4.21 and also interpreted as “always”. Personality traits had an average weighted
mean of 4.47 and interpreted as “always”. Teaching skills had an average weighted mean
of 4.51 and interpreted as “always”. Instructional materials had an average weighted mean
of 4.42 and interpreted as “always”. School factor had an average weighted mean of 4.26
and interpreted as “always”. Peer factor had an average weighted mean of 3.95 and
interpreted as “often”. Family factor had an average weighted mean of 3.88 and interpreted
as “often”.
Recommendation
Based on the conclusions made, the following recommendations are given: that a
researchers to determine a more focused result on the relationship; that administrators focus
implement in learning mathematics; that the parents helps, encourages and monitors the
