S STANDARD MEMBRANE
Hyperplas Standard is a high softening point, APP modified polymeric waterproofing membrane manufactured to the highest technical
standards. It consists of a center core of High Molecular High Density Polyethylene film. This polyethylene film is the heart of the
membrane and is a complete barrier against water and moisture. The center core is protected on both sides with a high quality
Polymeric Asphaltic mix with properties of high penetration, high heat resistance and high softening point to make it ideal for
waterproofing purposes. It also achieves high bonding strength with substrate and a strong adhesion between overlaps. The
Polymeric Asphaltic mix is protected on both sides with thermofusible HMHDPE film. This aids the thermofusion process and also
reinforces the non permeable quality of the entire membrane. The resultant membrane has elongation exceeding 300% to absorb all
structural movements. It also has high tensile strength and is extremely flexible and pliable to adapt to contours. Hyperplas Standard is
available in grades of 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 2Kg, 3Kg, 3.5Kg or 4Kg

Application of Hyperplas Standard is fast and easy. Smooth surface with minimum slope is required to apply the membrane. The
surface is first cleaned completely to eliminate all sharp projections. After cleaning, suitable primer such as IWL Primer / IWL CS / IWL
Blown Bitumen 85/25 or 90/15 is coated on the surface (for more details refer relevant data sheets). Hyperplas Standard is unrolled
over the coated surface (with overlaps of 10cm) and bonded completely to the substrate. The overlaps are then sealed by flame.
Special care is taken at singularities such as drains, expansion joints, etc. Details of application are available in Hyperplas Application
Guide.

Hyperplas Standard can be topped with topping such as cement screed or tiles on accessible roofs with a chicken wire mesh
reinforcement. Inaccessible roofs can be topped with a layer of Bitumen followed with a layer of IWL Aluminium Paint.
