Introduction

Since 1973, Ropali started their goods and services. It started as a company who offers
farm machineries then later on, it became a distributor of motorcycle nationwide. From that year,
they displayed only 3-5 units of motorcycle, but now they offered thousands of motorcycle with
different brand. What is their key on how to achieve this kind of business? What kind of strategies
and techniques that make their business successful?

Nowadays, most of the people uses motorcycle in their daily living because it serves as
their transportation in their workplace, serves as their source of income, and so on. However, how
can a person avail this kind of machine if they don’t have any budget, they don’t know what is the
process on how to get a motorcycle, or maybe they are afraid to get one because of the casualties
that might happened.

Statement of the Problem

In every business there’s a lot of challenges that might be encounter. Just like in Ropali Rizal
branch, they have different problems that might be the cause of their loss. Here are the following
problems they encountered:

1. Number of their competitors in dealing motorcycle in Rizal;


2. Decrease of their daily income since they were newly established branch in Rizal;
3. Ropali Rizal has the problem on how their employee meet their quota and have an
incentives.

Proposed Strategies and Plan

In order to solve the problems mentioned above, Ropali Rizal offers less down payment,
low monthly payment with low rate of interest and manageable way to get good and services of
the client because nowadays, if there’s a lot of promo and discounts, it will attract the buyers to
avail a motorcycle. Ropali Rizal conducted a marketing plan named OBOC (One Barangay One
Cayman). OBOC focuses on how to have a client through their agent that is referring Ropali Rizal
as their dealer of their motorcycle. The more referral that they will get, the more incentives they
will have. Employees of the Ropali Rizal don’t have any idea on how to cope up with regards to
pressure they have in the company because they don’t know on how to manage the pressure given
to them by their branch manager, Mr. Jay Laureta.

Conclusion

Ropali Rizal has their own way to deal with their clients to improve their revenues so that
they will be able to get their incentives, and with regards to the services of the client’s motorcycle,
they give an assurance to maintain the quality of the spare parts and service they offered. Their
strategic plan is unique since they have the so-called OBOC system that leads to the success of

Based on the given problem and possible will be improve the marketing through social
media because nowadays technology was the most powerful to spread the news or any
announcement that has been posted. If the advertisement was very unique, it will caught the
attention of the clients.

Increase the incentives so that it will be the motivation of the employee to do their task. In
this way, the employee will strive to meet the quota and not just meeting the quota but also exceed
their sales so that they will have an incentives since it is additional income for them.

Conduct a survey to determine what kind of motorcycle is in demand so that it will be the
units that can be offer by the Ropali Rizal. Since they have an agent, it is easy to conduct a survey
that aiming for the best-seller motorcycle so that the clients will avail this because in our generation
nowadays most of the people was eaten by the so-called “CONFORMITY”.

If possible, give the lowest down payment and lowest monthly payment with low rate of
interest to be given to the client so that they will be able to afford the unit they want. Because most
of the people wanted a low down payment since they don’t have enough budget for the cash basis
and they will lead to instalment basis. If the agreement was clear and not burden to the client, they
will avail motorcycle in Ropali Rizal since they consider the capability of their clients to pay the
unit they want.
Have an online transactions because there are clients that is very knowledgeable in
technology, sometimes people don’t like to go to the establishment because it will consumes their
time. So, through online they will be able to get their unit they want.

Most of the people has their different wants and needs, so what will be the best way to give
these. 7/11 is one of the company that answered the question regarding these wants and needs.
7/11 Inc., the company’s first outlets were named “Tote’m stures” because customers toted away
their purchases in 1946. The chain’s name was change from “Tote’m” to “7/11” to reflect the
company’s new extended hours, 7:00 a.m to 11:00 p.m, 7 days per week.

Nowadays, 7/11 was the most popular convenience store here in the Philippines because
of the good and services that they offered to their customers. Lots of people went here because
they will be able to provide the needs of their clients depending on their stocks in the store. The
needs of the people is unlimited so this kind of business was one of the well-known business
nowadays.

Statement of the Problem

Lots of companies have their different kind of challenges towards on how to maintain and
improve the sales of their business. Here are the problems that is facing the 7/11 branch in Baloc”

1. Inventory of their supplies. Every month their branch manager, Arjay Magtalas, was
audited by their auditor and here is the problem, in the inventory book of Mr. Magtalas
their inventory was okay, but there is an application used by the auditor and their inventory
was not same. Sometimes their auditor admitted that there’s something wrong on the
application that he/she used.
2. Another one is about shoplifter, there’s a lot of cases that they encountered because the
shoplifters have their own strategies to shoplift.
3. Attitude of employees that in the first month they have the eagerness to do their work
passionately. Every now and then, it loss because of the struggles that is facing of the
employee every day.
4. Aiming for a high sales so that employee will might get an incentives.

Proposed Strategies and Plan

With regards to shortage and auditing, their branch conducting pre-auditing so that before their
auditor will come to their branch, they are prepared and they will get tally of the audit so that it
will be lessen their time in auditing. However, most of the time their audit was not tallied because
of the circumstances that might affect the inventory of their supplies.

Moreover, in shoplifting their branch manager always reminding their assigned guard to go round
and check all the corners of the store so that they will be able to monitor the security of the store
and the shoplifters will be able to not do their thing.

Furthermore, in terms of employees, their branch manager give compliments to his employees so
that they will continue their good job. It is the best way on how to motivate the employee. Also,
he always listened to the employees’ burden in life, even though he was the manager it is not the
factor that you know all the things, and you will criticized the other people. Take note there is a
saying, “A good leader is also a good follower”.

In terms of sales, their branch doing their best to maintain their sales. They always monitor the
supplies so that all the saleable items will not have a shortage. If possible, they double the number
of items so that they will have a stock. Also through their computer, they will be able to monitor
it.

Conclusion

7/11 branch in Baloc has the systematic way on how to handle their employees and
maintain their sales. Their branch manager has the capability on how to manage their branch.
Because the way he handle every struggles that facing of their branch, he will be able to resolve it
through his knowledge and skills in managing a business.

Recommendations

In this type of business, there’s a lot of room to improve just like selling good and offer services,
for example, offer a goods and services that is unique. In this way, the customers will get curious
about it and when time goes by, they will popularized and it will spread out and it might be the
best-seller item in the store.

Also, provide well-ventilated and more table and chairs for the customers because convenience
store is one of the most visited place of the people because they will be able to buy the things they
wanted easily and most of the people want to stay on the convenience store. It serves as their
resting area when they want to get rest and have a break time.
Moreover, try to tie up in the other companies so that they will be able to sponsor the incentives
of the employees and you will advertise their product since it was one of the most visited place so
it is give and take process.

Nowadays, most of the people invest in any kind of bank so that someday they will get the
interest of their investments. One of the most well-known bank here in Luzon is GM bank because
of the services they offered. GM bank was inaugurated officially last December 1, 2004. Moreover,
GM bank Luzon was an outcome and merged by the rural banks that based in the hometown of its
incorporators, the province of Nueva Ecija. Also, it is a resultant corporation of the consolidation
of Community Rural Bank, Inc. and Muñoz Rural Bank, Inc.

Investing was one of the easiest way to gain an income however it takes time and it depends
on the interest rate of the bank once you deposited it. GM bank Muñoz is one of the well-known
bank in Nueva Ecija because it has 60 employees that led by their branch manager, Joven Del
Rosario Gaspar. Even though it is big establishment, their branch is still struggling on how to
manage their staffs and the system of the service of their bank so that clients will continue their
investments in their branch.

Statement of the Problem

In financing companies, there’s a lot of challenges that might be encountered. Moreover,


these following challenges might be the cause of low rate of the performance of the company in
financing. For instance, GM bank Muñoz struggling the following:

1. Issues and concerns of the clients regarding the policies and procedure of GM bank in
investing their money.
2. Issues regarding managing the staff of the company.
3. Issues with regards to the quota of every staff in GM bank.
4. Concerns with the unpaid debts/balance of the client that has been invested in the bank.

Proposed Strategies and Plan

In resolving the issues regarding the client’s concern about the policies and procedure, all
the staff of GM bank explain clearly all the policies and guidelines so that all the clients will have
an insight and will not get confused about it. Also they explain where all the policies came from
so that they will follow the mandate came from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and Anti-Money
Laundering Act.
In resolving the issues regarding managing the staff, their branch manager talk all his
subordinates one by one. And then he will ask what will be the problem about their work and what
kind of attitude he was according to his observation. Because their manager believes that good
communication is important so that they will have a good relationship in their workplace.

In resolving the issues regarding the quota of their staff, they do marketing launch product
like commercial loans that is intended for agricultural loans for farmers. They focusing on the
needs of the people because people nowadays think in futuristic way in a sense that they will not
get a loan for just wants but they think about the needs of their family. So, marketing the loans
they offered is their strategy to get a client.

In resolving the issues regarding to the client who does not pay their obligation, the bank
send a letter that reminding the client’s obligation. This will be a notice to them that they need to
pay it so that it will not gain a greater interest. If failed to comply, they visited the client to their
house so that in person, they will know why their clients does not pay their debts. Just in case they
will not comply again, the bank will have a legal action regarding to this and it might be resolve
in the court.

Conclusion

GM bank Muñoz have their own way on how to resolve their challenges and problem that
they encountered because based on the interview, it just a common problems of the company and
there’s no big issues regarding to it. Also, their manager has the capability on how to handle the
situation inside their company so he will be able to control all the possible circumstances that
might be the company go through.

Recommendations

Even though GM bank Muñoz was well established, their marketing is lack of something.
I think it should be marketed technologically because we are in the computer-aged right now. All
their advertisement will posted on social media because it will be seen by the clients. Because most
of the clients in present time does not bother to see the advertisement outside the building or any
tarpaulins posted outside. So it is better to see the advertisement online and it will lesser the cost
of the marketing.
Since, we are in the computer-aged, I think GM bank should go through online procedure
in investing their money to them. They might get an application that all the details are there and
through that application the clients will be able to get transaction online. This might be difficult to
them but it will take their work with ease.

Attitude is the most important thing in every work, so the company must be attend to a
seminar pertaining to on how to work effectively and efficiently with good attitude. Because of
the “millennial age”, most of the staffs have an attitude that affect their performance inside the
company. So, it should be conducted so that they will open their mind how important good attitude
is.

There’s a lot of real estate companies nowadays because of the most of the businessman
invest their money in the properties since it provides more income to them. Ellimac Prime Holding
Inc., is a real estate company that provides real estate services. It is the flagship company of
Cosco’s real estate group. It was formed through the merger of four property companies in
December 2012. It owns 47 properties located in prime Metro Manila areas and across Central and
Northern Luzon. Here in Nueva Ecija, there is one branch that is located in San Jose city opeated
last 2016, headed by Ms. Dolly Ann H. Saravio.

Being part of a real estate companies was difficult because the money you’ve invested was
waiting to have an income. Just like in depositing in the bank that gain a certain interest, here in
real estate companies, each and every one was striving to maintain the properties in good condition
so that it will be purchased by the other investors. What kind of strategies will be this company do
to maintain their good services and get a client that continuing or might invest to them? Let’s see
how this company do their thing on how to manage this kind of business since it is difficult to
being part with this kind of business.

In order to resolve the issues regarding the hiring of employees because of the
miscommunication, their branch manager always call an emergency meeting in order to discuss
all the dilemma that happened inside the company. Moreover, think any resort for the dilemma
that might be encountered in their company.
With regards to the issue on the maintenance of the properties, they always monitor the
facilities from time to time. Also, they secure all the amenities of the properties so that they will
be able to repair all the destroyed material in the property. It was supervised by their manager so
that it will be able to construct all the things they needed to do in the property.

Furthermore, with regards to the issues of the attitude of staff, the operating manager
always go around and have an inspection in every section of the building so that all the staff of the
company will be monitored if they doing their job at their best. But sometimes, it will not avoid
that they’re not doing their job at their best because of some factors that might affect their
performance.

Conclusion

Ellimac Prime Holdings Inc., has a lot of problems in terms of the employee’s attitude and
also the maintenance of the building. Most of the companies were struggling with these kind of
problems because it was always happening with this kind of business. Moreover, the problem of
the company on how to make the employment of their employee be stable because it depends on
the income of the company. So each everyone will strive for the sake of the company.

Recommendations

Being part with real sate company was really hard because there’s a lot of competition in
this kind of business. But the first thing to know is that the company should be accessible to anyone
and easily to find so that if there are queries it can answer easily.

Next is the agent of the company should be approachable and have the ability to pursue the
client to avail the property so that the company will get famous to the other people. Also, find an
employee who has a lot of connection because once you get an employee like that, for sure you
will have an income.

Find a properties that is saleable and affordable to the client, if not it is really hard to get
client that can avail the property. Also, you must offer your client a great promo so that it will be
patronized by the other clients.

selling all types of motorcycles from the smallest to the biggest displacements in nearly every
province nationwide. In September 18, 1974 Wheeltek Motor Sales corporation was established
and began its operation under the name of Peer Marketing, one of the pioneers in the industry
distribution of motorcycles in Central and Northern Luzon area. Wheeltek San Jose started on
April 27, 1998 who lead by their branch manager, Michale Ellana.

Even though there’s a lot of competitors, Wheeltek San Jose still maintain their popularity
in their business. Because of their promos offered, they were patronized by the people of San Jose.
What kind of marketing strategies they have? How they maintain their clients to patronized them?
It will be answered with this case study.
