DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL WISDOM BASED PHYSICS MODULE

(Case Study of Work and Energy for Senior Hight School Class X)

ABSTRACT
Physics learning is one of the learning processes that have an important role in
supporting science and technology supported by facilities and infrastructure in learning. In
order to make learning physics more fun and enjoyable it is necessary to develop learning that
encourages local wisdom in an area. Development can be done by developing products in the
form of materials that are made modules based on local wisdom that can help students and
teachers in the learning process and introduce local wisdom. This study aims to 1) describe the
contributions and modes and energy modules used by students and teachers. 2) describe the
needs of students and teachers of the local wisdom-based Physics module for SMA / MA grade
X. 3) describe the principles of preparing a local wisdom-based Physics module that suits the
needs of students and teachers. 4) describe the Physics prototype module based on local
wisdom. 5) describe the edition and improvement of the Physics module based on local wisdom.
6) learn whether the Fiaika module based on local wisdom can improve student learning
achievement.
This research method is Research and Development (R&D). The preliminary stage
consists of a literature study, analysis of local wisdom, and planning based on the availability
analysis and condition modules, as well as an analysis of module requirements for students and
teachers, while planning development consists of new products, products, product support and
end products. Results on average percentage of Physics modules by material experts 98.63%,
for media experts 91.35%, and Physics teachers 75%. Furthermore, this research product was
developed to study whether the product can improve student learning achievement. The
instrument used includes a scale to find the quality of the module. T-test is used to improve
student achievement improvement. Data analysis was carried out by collecting qualitative and
quantitative data from material experts, media experts, Physics teachers, and students. Obtained
data> t table is 5.97> 2.101 with a significance level of 5%. The results showed how the physics
module based on local wisdom was not yet available in schools, so students and educators
needed physics modules related to local wisdom. The modules compiled consist of three parts,
namely the cover module, the physical module, and the content module. Results Assessing
experts and research shows this local wisdom-based physics module is feasible to use and can
improve student achievement.
