Laozi
Laozi was born 601 BC, Chu and his parents are Xiantian Emperess and
Li Jing. Rendered as Lao Tzu and Lao-Tze was an ancient Chinese
Philosopher and writer. He is the reputed author of Tao Te Ching, the
founder of philosophical Taoism.
1. Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply
gives you courage.
2. A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.
3. When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.
Confucius
Confucius was a Chinese philosopher and politician of the Spring and
Autumn period. The philosophy of Confucius, also known as
Confucianism, emphasized personal and governmental mentality, justice
and sincerity.
1. Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart.
2. Life is really simple, but men insist on making it complicated.
3. It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.
Plato
Plato was born 21st of May 429 BC, Classical Athens. He eas an
Athenian philosopher during the Classical period in Ancient Greece,
founder of the Platonist school of thought, and the Academy.
1. Love is a serious mental disease.
2. Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
3. Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say
something.
Aristotle
Aristotle was a Greek philosopher during the Classical period in Ancient
Greece. He was born 19th of June 384 BC, Stagira, Greece. Along with
his teacher Plato, he has been called the "Father of Western Philosophy"
1. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a
habit.
2. The end of labor is to gain leisure.
3. Happiness depends upon ourselves.
Rene Descartes
Rene Descartes was a Frence philosopher, mathematician, and
scientist. He spent about 20 years of his life in the Dutch Republic.
He was born 31st of March 1569, Descartes, France and died 11th
day of February 1650, Stockholm, Sweden.
1. It is not enough to have a good mind; the main thing is to use it
well.
2. Cogito ergo sum. (I think; therefore I am.)
3. Each problem that I solved became a rule, which served afterwards to solve other
problems.
