Because our topic today is Paparazzi, i will explain a little bit explanation about paparazzi activities . So,
paparazzi is an activity for beginners or pro photographer who followed and photographed famous
selebrity without their permission and knowledge . This activity is usually carried out at large pickled
events that invite famous artists such as Oscars, Grammy Awards, MTV choice awards, Kids Choice
Awards, Golden Globe Awards, etc. Back to the main topic, I strongly disagree that paparazzi is
beneficial for celebrity

As I mentioned in the explanation earlier, that "who followed and photographed famous celebrities
without their permission and knowledge". of course this can interfere with the activities of famous
celebrities because they only want to do their personal activities but many are photographing, following,
even disturbing just to get information or take a selfie. many artists who feel fed up with the paparazzi
who follow their personal activities, for example, kanye west who beat one paparazzi, Britney spears
who emotion got out of the car and tried to damage the car one of the paparazzi, Justin Bieber who
fought with the paparazzi and was detained by the bodyguard, Miley Cyrus who scolded the paparazzi,
and others. with paparazzi photos, these photos can be used as merchandise, used as talk, used as
gossip, misused, defamation, hoax news, and so on so that celebrities' reputations can be damaged by
trivial matters.

as we know, privacy is very important to us. as well as celebrities. their privacy is very important.
however, many paparazzi follow him only to find information and interfere with their activities. can you
imagine if your privacy was disturbed? I am very sure you will definitely be angry because this is our
business not the business of others. in our country, there is already a law that is concerned with
protecting one's privacy which reads "prohibiting anyone from accessing in any way to obtain
information or documents of others". This law has sanctions in the form of 6 to 7 years in prison and
fines of 600 to 700 million rupiah and the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in article 28G
paragraph (1) which reads "Every person has the right to protection of personal, family, honor, dignity
and property under his authority, and the right to a sense of security and protection from the threat of
fear to do or not do something that is a human right ". As mentioned earlier, that privacy should not be
contested by anyone other than the privacy holder. paparazzi continue to carry out their activities
secretly to celebrities, of course the activity is very rude because they take pictures without permission
and the celebrity's knowledge.

Not only in Indonesia, abroad have also implemented laws and regulations concerning privacy
protection. USA Department of Justice The Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. § 552a states that
"The Privacy Act prohibits the disclosure of records about someone from a system of records
without the written permission of that individual, unless the disclosure is based on one of the
twelve exceptions under the law", The 1995 Data Protection Directive (officially Directive 95/46
/ EC) recognized the authority of the National data protection authorities and required that all
Member States adhere to universal privacy protection standards, A Brazilian citizen's privacy is
protected by the country's constitution, which states The intimacy, private life, honor and image
of the people are inviolable, with assured right to indenization by material or moral damage
resulting from its violation,etc . based on the law, it has been proven that not only celebrities
prohibit the spread of privacy, but the state has also banned the mixing of other people's private
matters. what the paparazzi did when we looked at it from the law was certainly very violating
but instead they did something worse because "without permission".

besides, paparazzi cannot use excuses to make celebrities famous. the paparazzi only disrupt the
activity and popularity of celebrities. photos in paparazzi magazines can't make celebrities
famous because celebrities are famous for something they do like Tobey Maguire who became
the first spiderman actor, adele with beautiful songs and sounds, joaquien phoenix who
successfully became a joker actor in 2019, BTS is famous for its dance and interesting songs,
rich brian is famous for Indonesian rapper who can compete in international level, and many
more. and I need to emphasize again, paparazzi photos can be used as merchandise, used as talk,
used as gossip, misused, defamation, hoax news, and so on that celebrities' reputations can be
damaged by trivial matters.

according to what I have stated before, paparazzi is something wrong and is prohibited from
doing. when they want to do an interview or take pictures, there is a time that has been provided
to do that for example like after the awards ceremony that has been provided where celebrities
are photographed while holding a trophy and formally interviewed. and I from the negative team
strongly disagree that paparazzi can benefit celebrities .
