ABSTRACT
The purpose of the experiment was to see how the human body maintains homeostasis
during the physical activity ,and resting before and after physical activity .In the experiment
a volunteer had to exercise for 8 minutes to see how homeostasis reacts in the body . The
results of the experiment were that homeostasis when exercise begins.

INTRODUCTION
Homeostasis means maintaining a relatively constant state of the body’s internal
environment. The term used to describe a pattern of response to restore the body to normal
stable level is termed negative feedback. When a stimulus (environment change) is met by a
response that reverses (negates) the trend of the stimulus, it is negative feedback. As a result
the internal environment is returned to normal. Pulse rate is constantly checked by receptors
(sensors) throughout your body. A stimulus such as elevated pulse rate leads to a reaction by
an organ making the response. An appropriate respon.se will return the pulse rate to normal .
Thermoregulation, or the control of body temperature, shows how homeostasis works in a
biological system. In humans, normal body temperature fluctuates around the value of 98.6
°F (37 °C). However, various factors can affect this value—exposure to extreme hot or cold,
changes in metabolic rate, and disease that leads to excessively high or low body
temperatures are just a few examples . In our activity of doing jumping jacks well and will be
able to do for 8 minutes and we will record several observations and values of the person
jumping like skin color of hands and face (pale , pink ,and red) , perspiration level (none,
mild , medium, high), external body temperature and breathing rate ( count the number of
breaths in 1 minute) and heart rate (find the pulse at the wrist and count the number of beats
in 1 minute ).After that recording the observations and measurements of the person doing
jumping jacks and while they are sitting down and resting . Finally make the separate graphs
of external body temperature ,breathing rate ,heart rate at various intervals of exercise.

METHODOLOGY
level , body In our experiment of homeostasis of doing jumping jacks for different intervals
of time like when in rest ,2 mintes,4 minutes ,6 minutes , 8 minutes and rest after exercise 1
minute .In this experiment we will record the observations like body colour , perspiration
temperature , breathing and heart rate . The volunteer exercising should begin jumping
when the person watching the clock gives the signal . After 2 minutes quickly make
observations and measurements and record them. And again next the volunteer will
continue jumping at 2 minute intervals until the 8 minute time period has been completed .
After each 2 minute interval observations and measurements should be made . When the 8
minutes is up the volunteer jumping will rest for 1 minute . After 1 minute observations and
measurements will be taken for the final time . In other experiment for determining the
example of homeostasis working to control ours body’s pulse rate first sit down and record
the pulse rate in their radial artery and then take three separate measurements ,each for 30
seconds and calculate for minute . Then we should exercise vigorously for three minutes by
jogging in place or doing jumping jacks and record them for 3 minutes and then after 5
minutes of them after the rest for 3 times and record the readings.

RESULTS AND DISCUSS.3IONS

CONCLUSION
Homeostasis is the ability of the body to maintain a constant internal environment by making
small internal adjustments to compensate for large external disturbances . Injuries, illness,
disease and death can disrupt homeostasis . Diabetes causes disruption of glucose
homeostasis. It is only one example of the potentially severe problems caused by disrupting
homeostasis . Science is actively pursuing a broader, more detailed understanding of
homeostatic mechanisms and the consequences of their disruptions. Homeostasis is the
activity of cells throughout the body to maintain the physiological state within a narrow range
that is compatible with life. Homeostasis is regulated by negative feedback loops and, much
less frequently, by positive feedback loops. Both have the same components of a stimulus,
sensor, control center, and effector; however, negative feedback loops work to prevent an
excessive response to the stimulus, whereas positive feedback loops intensify the response
until an end point is reached . When the exercise is done there will be increase in the body
temperature , heart beat rate , pulse rate . Due to the homeostasis the body can maintain the
constant body temperature , pulse and heart beat rate . Body maintains temperature by heavy
breathing it can increase the heat loss in response to the temperature regulation by signaling
from the nervous system when the body temperature falls the blood vessels constrict sweat
glands don’t produce sweat and shivering generates heat to warm the body . and when we
exercise there is an increase in breathing rate because during exercise the body cells need
more oxygen in order to produce ATP . So far more oxygen for our body there is an
increased breathing rate to accompany exercise. Increased heart beat when we do exercise the
body muscle cells require nutrients which are in turn supplied by the blood stream so there
will be increased heart rate to accompany exercise.
