Introduction: You can choose either the perspective of a young American protestor or a North
Vietnamese government official. Your job is to create a propaganda poster that is trying to
convince people to join your side. Based on the information we learned in class, try to design a
propaganda poster using either a blank A4 paper or on your Chromebook.
Checklist 1: Requirements for the poster: Things you must include
-At least 1 reference to a historical event (Gulf of Tonkin, My Lai Massacre, Operation Rolling
Thunder, Kent State Massacre, using Agent Orange etc)
-At least 2-3 images (it can be historical photographs or hand drawn)
-One slogan
-One call to action (telling people to join your side)

Instructions:
Step 1:
Choose a side: North Vietnamese or Young American protestor
Step 2:
Do a little research on 1 historical event to find facts or pictures.
Step 3:
Design the poster so that it has all the requirements from checklist 1.
Step 4:
On the back of the poster, write a short reflection that answers the three questions in checklist
2. The first two paragraphs do not need TEPAC format. The last question needs a TEPAC
format. For the example part of TEPAC, you can use your own words to describe a specific part
of your poster.
