Interviewer: Hi.

This is from grade 11 Mandible's Students' perception on the

discontinuity of SPFL: A Case Study. So, number 1, what language did you take under
the SPFL?

Interviewee: Spanish.

Interviewer: Number 2, why did you choose to study that language?

Interviewee: Umm…
Spanish.

Interviewer: So... Number 3, what did you learn upon taking the SPFL?

Interviewee: Of course yung basics ng Spanish. First of all, kailangan may alam- may
background kami sa Spain. So…t-tinuro din sa’min yung culture and such. Tapos, yung
language…yung mga ba- yung mga basic din, yung letters, how to tell time, mga how to
construct sentences, ganun.

Interviewer: Number 4, are you able to apply what you have learned under the program
in your current study?

words like, since ‘diba yung Filipino and Spanish medyo… may mga words na
So, may mga words na
naiintindihan ko na, ganun, kung saan nanggaling.

Interviewer: Number 5, did taking the SPFL become relevant in your current academic
activities?

Interviewee: For me, hindi masyado since… 1 year ko nga lang siya ti-nake and… yung

Interviewer: Number 6, did you gain more interest in the language when you underwent
the program?

further, and if I were given the chance, I would have taken a second year pero, yun, yun
talaga.

Interviewer: Number 7, do you find it relevant for future students of the school to take
the SPFL?

Interviewee: Umm… yes, kase…kase…umm… yung ah- yung SPFL, ‘di ba ginawa siya
since yung mga Filipinos…umm… for their jobs, they normally ay-…mara-… maraming
pumupunta sa abroad and its to show the competence of the Filipinos, so tinuturuan sila

Interviewer: Last, what are your thoughts on the discontinuity of the SPFL?

naman siya sa development ng Philippines, for the relationships with other countries.
Pero, at the same time,…umm… okay- medyo okay lang siya kasi yung Filipinos are
Thank you.
