DAS 14103-PHYSICS I

POSTER PRESENTATION PROJECT

YOUR TASK

1. Form and name the group (maximum 5 person). Choose a leader. Works as a TEAM.
2. Topic
(a) Select a chapter from DAS14103 – PHYSICS I and identify an interested topic to your group
for the poster project. Duplication of topic is not allowed (1 DAA and 1 DAU)
(b) Select an experiment from that consists in DAS14103 – PHYSICS I and identify an
interested topic to your group for the poster project. Duplication of topic is not allowed (1 DAE)
(c) Select a role of physics in daily life that consists in DAS14103 – PHYSICS I and identify an
interested topic to your group for the poster project. Duplication of topic is not allowed
(1 DAM)
3. Search materials online and / or in the library to develop your interested topic.
4. Effective posters are one in which lots of info is conveyed visually with a minimum amount of text to
describe the graphics either in English or Bahasa Melayu.
5. You are allowed to print materials / images / graphics from internet resources but use you own words
to describe them.
6. You are encouraged to use online resources and presentation software to help with the graphics.
7. The poster must be presented in a poster format of A3 size print paper either in portrait on landscape
page layout (cost about RM 3.50 at TOP PRINTING) as in Figure 1A / 1B
8. A high quality poster should exhibit and / or include:
(i) a clear statement of the specific issue or product being addressed.
(ii) a connection between the issue or product and Physics principles.
(iii) diagrams and formulae that help illustrate the points being made.
(iv) documentation from at least three (3) references, sources must be listed on right bottom corner
of the poster.
(v) care in both style and presentation.
(vi) your group name must be written on the right top corner of the poster.
9. ZERO MARKS WILL BE GIVEN IF ANY GROUP FAIL TO EXHIBIT THE POSTER DURING
PRESENTATION DAY.
