Workshop Practice (Lab)

Course Code: EEL-112

Pre requisite: None
Objectives: At the end of the semester the students must be able to:
• Use soldering iron and perform soldering.
• Perform PCB designing.
• Use of lathe machine and its operation.
• Understand and perform electrical wiring on wooden board
• Use function generator, analog and digital oscilloscope
• Design circuits on Proteus and design layout in ARES
Course CLO 1 (P2): Proceed in the working principle of different electrical measuring
Learning instruments, lathe machine , soldering and wiring skill and their usage in electrical

CLO 2 (A2): Be able to present and comply with key concepts and procedures
taught in Workshop Practice lab.

Course Outline: LAB 01: Introduction to workshop safety and workshop Practice equipment (CLO 1 )
LAB 02: To make wooden board (CLO 1)
LAB 03: Constructing a Simple Circuit on a Wooden Board (CLO 1)
LAB 04: Parallel Circuit Construction of Single Switch ,Single bulb and Three switches
Three Bulbs on a Wooden Board (CLO 1)
LAB 05: Series Circuit Construction of Single Switch ,Single bulb and Three switches-
Three Bulbs on a Wooden Board (CLO 1)
LAB 06: Calibration of Energy Meter. (CLO 1)
LAB 07: To do Soldering on Vero board. (CLO 1)
LAB 08: Half wave rectification circuit building using diode and soldering.(CLO 1)
LAB 09: To study working and calibration of cathode ray oscilloscope .(CLO 1)
LAB 10: Introduction to Lathe Machine& Facing Operation .( CLO 1)
LAB 11: Threading Operation. (CLO 1)
LAB 12: Turning Operation(CLO 1)
LAB 13: Drilling Operation. (CLO 1)
LAB 14: Open Ended Lab. (CLO 1 )
