Trees
By: Joyce Kilmer A tree that may in Summer wear
I think that I shall never see A nest of robins in her hair;
A poem lovely as a tree.
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Who intimately lives with rain.
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
Poems are made by fools like me,
A tree that looks at God all day, But only God can make a tree.
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
