Material Required: Cotton, Thin paint and
Paper.
Method: Dip the cotton in paint and use it like a
paint brush to colour a large area. Effect will be slightly patchy. WET CHALK ON DRY PAPER
Materials required: Different coloured chalks,
water and paper.
Method: Take a large piece of chalk and dip only
one third of it in water and colour desired object. BALLOON PAINTING
Material Required: Small balloon, medium
consistency paint and paper.
Method: Blow up the balloon. (Do not use
water). Dip into the paint and dab gently on the paper. WOOL DABBING
Material required: Large ball of crumpled paper,
wool or any other thick thread, medium consistency paint and paper.
Method: Wind the wool around the paper ball.
Dip into the paint and dab on the paper to create any desired shape. SPONGE DABBING
Material required: Cotton, thin paint and paper.
Method: Dip the sponge into the paint and dab
on the paper according to the desired shape. FINGER PAINTING
Material required: Thick paint, Fevicol and
Paper.
Method: Mix the paint and Fevicol to get a thick
paste. Dip your fingers into this paste and spread over the paper randomly or as per required design. PAPER MOSAIC
Method: Crepe or marble paper – cut into large
pieces, Fevicol and paper.
Method: Stick the paper in the required shape
using glue or Fevicol. The shapes should fit in the required shape and should be stuck in a line without any gap in between. STRING PAINTING
Material required: String, medium consistency
paint and paper.
Method: Dip the string into the paint. Put it
randomly on the paper, keeping one end of the string in your hand. Put another paper on it and press down. Pull the string towards yourself with a jerk. LINE BLOTCH
Material required: White or light coloured paint
of thin consistency, sponge, thin paintbrush and paper.
Method: Spread the light coloured paint
according to the required shape using a sponge. While it is still wet, use the thin paintbrush to draw lines on the wet paper. The thin lines should spread and give a smudged effect. SPRAY PAINTING
Material required: Old toothbrush, thin paint
and paper.
Method: Dip the bristles of the toothbrush in the
paint and rub the brush with your thumb to get a spray of paint. Cover the entire shape and then remove it to view the white pattern. BEAD PAINTING
Material required: Beads, Medium consistency
paint and paper.
Method: Dip beads in paint. Place them on a
paper tray and shake to create the design. SHAPES MAKE A PICTURE
Material required: Coloured crepe paper, Fevicol
and paper.
Method: Cut the crepe or marble paper into
geometrical shapes. Stick these pieces together to form a picture. BUBBLE PAINTING
Material required: Medium sized bowl, water,
detergent powder, thick drinking straw, bright or dark colour paint and paper.
Method: Mix the paint, detergent and water in
the bowl. Bowl should not be filled more than half. Blow bubbles with the drinking straws to form coloured bubbles. Press the paper lightly over the bubbles. Cover the whole sheet and then cut out the shapes required. STIPPLING Material required: Crayon and Paper.
Method: Draw the required shape on a thick
paper. Make a thick, dark outline with a coloured crayon. Hold the paper firmly and rub outwards with your thumb to get a smudged outline of the picture. MAGIC PAINTING
Material required: White crayon, Sponge or
paintbrush, thin dark colour paint and paper.
Method: Draw the required design with white
crayon on the paper. Dip the sponge or brush in the paint and colour the entire paper. Design will appear as if magic.
