“Workshop on Electromagnetics and Antenna Design”

I would like to thank our Principal, HOD sir for giving me this opportunity to attend this workshop and
providing his continuous support and encouragement.

ABOUT PROGRAM:
Primary focus of this course was to introduce design challenges of several antennas and their
possible solutions which should be further investigated for the future generation wireless
communication networks. It has given an opportunity for participants from academic institution
to get acquainted with design,simulation, fabrication, and measurement of microwave devices
that includes microstrip patch antennas, reconfigurable antennas, filtering antennas, Massive
MIMO antenna array, Metamaterial based devices and antennas, etc. The individual participants
benefitted with hands-on with ANSYS HFSS session followed by fabrication and measurements.

Following are the outcomes of the courses:

 Able to design/simulate Microstrip antenna using HFSS software
 Able to fabricate dipole, rectangular patch, circular patch, triangle patch, split ring patch
antenna.

 On-chip Antennas / Off-chip Antennas

 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Antenna, Massive MIMO

Prof. Parul H. Panchal, Coordinator of the workshop and his highly dedicated team has arranged
