Greetings!

The sophomore students of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University – College of Law, in connection with
their Natural Resources and Environmental Law course, will be having an educational field trip at the Sta.
Cruz Island, Zamboanga City, on August 4, 2019, Sunday. The class is under the supervision of an
environmental policy expert, Professor Antonio Gabriel La Viña, former Undersecretary of DENR. The
purpose of this activity is for the students to be able to identify challenges regarding environmental issues
faced especially here in Zamboanga City.

We hereby humbly request from your good office to have any personnel or staff who can join us during
the activity to give an educational lecture about or in connection with one of the Zamboanga’s finest, the
Sta. Cruz Island. The class is planning to visit the Great Sta. Cruz Island, Sand Bar, and the Mangrove
Lagoon. All expenses will be shouldered by the class.
