WORKSHOP 3 (20%)

Objective: The objective of this workshop is the student to investigate on water and soils
pollution their implications on the environment and/on the human health. It is intended to
take the student to investigate, understand and work on a second language, as part of the
UMNG bilingualism policies.
This workshop is intended to be a preparation for the final exam, so read the
textbook and investigate, take this assignment as a rehearsal for the final exam.
This exercise will bring the student the skills to understand surface water pollution
and groundwater pollution processes.
The workshop must be submitted in groups (same groups that were created since
the beginning of the course). Only one student needs to submit the file.
The file to be uploaded will be in PDF Format (no Word, jpg, Power Point files will be
accepted). The group will also upload a disclaimer file (like in workshop 1 and 2)
which I quote:
“Taller # xxx, Número del Equipo de trabajo, Nombres completos de los miembros
del equipo con código, Fecha y la siguiente declaración: “Los miembros de este
equipo declaramos que hemos participado en el desarrollo del presente taller y
estamos completamente de acuerdo con lo presentado en el video. Entendemos
que la calificación del taller corresponde al video el cual corresponde a lo
presentado en el documento escrito de este taller”. SIN EL VIDEO Y SIN ESTA
DECLARACIÓN ENTENDERÁ EL TALLER COMO NO PRESENTADO POR TODO EL
EQUIPO. El link deberá ser también copiado en la entrega de la tarea como un
comentario”
Next week, I will be posting a Google forms survey for each group to subscribe to a
time in which the workshop will be defended.
Similar workshops will be considered as plagio and a 0.0 grade will be assigned. Every
single work will be scanned through Turnitin to verify any possible copy from the internet.
WORKSHOP
Based on the following internet links and based on your additional research, the student
groups will be asked to provide:
1. A conceptual map for surface water pollution (only references in English will be
accepted)
2. A conceptual map for soils and groundwater pollution (only references in English
will be accepted)
3. A one page conclusion and analysis document on how the soils and water pollution
may affect the environment and human health.
